Tyddyn Morthwyl is a well-presented, spacious cottage with a warm atmosphere and a welcoming garden. Guests have enjoyed the comfortable furnishings, the games room, and the property's proximity to local attractions. The cottage's charm and ample space for families and pets are frequently praised, making it a favoured choice for a tranquil and enjoyable stay in North Wales.
The property generally receives high marks for cleanliness, with guests finding it tidy upon arrival. However, a few guests noted issues with window cleanliness and the presence of insects, slightly affecting the overall perception.
The location is highly regarded for its tranquillity, proximity to the beach, and easy access to local attractions. The scenic setting in the Welsh countryside near Criccieth is a highlight for many visitors.
Guests find the beds comfortable and the living spaces cosy, especially with the log burners. Some guests mentioned low doorways causing discomfort for taller individuals, which slightly impacts the comfort score.
While the property is well-equipped with a games room and kitchen amenities, several guests reported issues with water pressure and maintenance needs, such as the key safe and some minor repairs. These issues have led to a moderate score in this category.
There are mentions of a welcome bottle of wine and the provision of wood for the fire, suggesting thoughtfulness. However, as gifts are not consistently referenced or guaranteed, it is not possible to accurately score this category.

However, the cleanliness of the window was dirty, as soon as you come closer to some windows, spiders, wasps and all insects are crawling. Throughout the holidays, some curtains are closed (day and night). There's not enough woods to heat up the rooms. We have to wear extra clothes at night time to keep ourselves warm. The thermostat is hot heating up all the rooms.

Dated interior design lets the place down. Felt like the guidelines re check in (6pm) and check out (9:30am) were incredibly stingy, this, coupled with having to communicate through Sykes who could be slow, soured what would otherwise have been a lovely place to stay for a weekend.
