About this property

The perfect destination for a family beach holiday or a small reunion of friends, 220 Cae Du boasts a superb location close to the beautiful golden sands of Abersoch in Gwynedd and is within a short walk of the shops, bars and restaurants of this thriving North Wales’ town. Everything is taken care of from the minute you drive up, park on the driveway and unload your bags. Step into the property where you can drop your bags in any of four well-appointed bedrooms, two on the ground floor and two on the second floor. The open-plan living space really does have the ‘wow’ factor with plenty of room to hang out whether it’s curling up on the corner sofa chilling out watching TV, cooking up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen or tucking into delicious family meals in the dining area. If you want to soak up any sunshine, then there is a fantastic balcony here, where you can look out over the sea and beyond and spend time drinking, dining and socialising alfresco. This is a great space for entertaining and is somewhere you can imagine spending lots of time while on holiday here. Watch the sun go down and the stars come out while enjoying a glass of your favourite tipple on the balcony – holidays don’t get much better than this. After breakfast on the balcony in the morning, you’re already in a great location for heading out and discovering the delights of Abersoch and beyond. Head to the fabulous beach at Abersoch which is just a short walk or jump in the car and head to other well-known beaches along the breath-takingly beautiful Llyn Peninsula such as Porth Oer and Porth Ceriad. Whether you want to have a go at a whole host of watersports or you just want a chilled out picnic on the beach, Abersoch has it all and the town itself has loads of shops and eateries worth discovering too. Attractions worth a day out to include Plas yn Rhiw, Glasfryn Parc, Llanfair Slate Caverns and Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Steam Railway. Boasting a superb location close to the beach, 220 Cae Du offers well-presented accommodation and promises guests an unforgettable break.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.

The house had everything we needed for a week’s stay and was a perfect place to relax. Short walk into Abersoch centre and close to lots of lovely beaches. Would highly recommend for a fantastic family holiday!
