Guests say

Ty Hen is a well-received cottage in North Wales, praised for its cleanliness, peaceful and rural setting, and proximity to walking trails and beaches. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, ample parking, and the helpfulness of the hosts. While some guests found the furniture and beds uncomfortable, the majority enjoyed the cottage's charm, views, and wildlife.

The cottage is consistently described as clean and tidy, with guests expressing satisfaction with the property's cleanliness upon arrival.

The location is highly regarded for its peace, views, and proximity to coastal paths and beaches, though it is noted that a car is necessary for most activities and the terrain may not suit everyone.

While many guests found the cottage comfortable and well-appointed, there were some concerns about low furniture and uncomfortable beds, which affected the comfort score.

Facilities are generally praised, especially the well-equipped kitchen, though some guests suggested improvements such as more pans and plasticware, and there were isolated issues with the shower and dishwasher.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Such a peaceful location. Perfect for families with no fewer than three gardens and all enclosed and safe. Seeing the sun rise through the kitchen window as you make your morning brew is a great way to start the day. The beautiful Whistling Sands and Aberdaron beaches within an 8min drive. Lovely walks up Mynydd Anelog directly from the cottage to see the gorgeous sunsets over the end of the peninsula or continue on the coastal path routes. The owner was warm and friendly in all our communications and when we had a minor problem with the dishwasher, it was solved within the hour.

The inside of the cottage is traditional and comfortable, its clean and well equipped, the outside space is well kept with amazing views over the surrounding farmland. It doesn't have proper "sea views" but you can see the sea and be on the coastal path just west of Porth Oer within a 15 minute walk. Aberdaron is an easy 30 minute walk in the other direction. Parking is ample with room two or maybe three vehicles, though you do need a bit of space to turn around to exit the property. Getting the key was easy, the owners are on the ball with communication and stopped by to say hi and make sure everything was ok during our stay. We loved it and hope to be back soon.
