Guests say

Bwthyn Gwyn Bach is a well-regarded cottage praised for its spaciousness, cleanliness, and excellent location close to the beach and local amenities. Guests appreciate the secure garden for pets and the property's suitability for both families and dogs. The cottage is described as a comfortable 'home from home', with a well-equipped kitchen and thoughtful touches that contribute to a relaxing stay.

The cottage consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with guests noting it as clean and well-presented. One review specifically mentioned confidence in the thorough cleaning, which is crucial post-Covid.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach, coastal walks, and local amenities like shops and pubs. Its central position in the Llyn Peninsula makes it an ideal base for exploring the area.

The property is frequently described as comfortable and spacious, with a well-maintained garden. However, some guests mentioned issues with a creaky bed and a desire for a shower head at a more convenient height, slightly affecting the score.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-stocked kitchen and ample garden space. Some minor criticisms include the need for a bigger toaster, more hanging facilities, and updates to some furniture and fixtures.

While guests have mentioned a welcome pack and the provision of space and rackets, there is not enough consistent information across reviews to accurately score thoughtfulness. It is important to note that such gifts are not guaranteed.

Central for all the local amenities and a stones throw away from the beautiful beach and perfect walks. This is the second time we've stayed and not much has changed, which is kind of the problem. Things are a little worn - there is no blind in the end suite and there's some mold around the window. The draws in the bigger double room are stiff and the bottom draw doesn't have any handles. That being said they have replaced the summer house and fixed the wall/fence so the garden is enclosed. It has everything you need - like home from home, it just requires some slight TLC. Overall a lovely stay and we would return

A further improvement we would welcome would be a shower head that we can stand under in the main bathroom, sharing a shower in the en-suite for all occupants can be a logistical pain. Having said that this is our only downside, the location of the property is excellent, we park the car up and do not move it for a week. Already planning our next visit.

The bungalow was spacious and comfortable and a great base to explore this Llyn Peninsula. Garden space and summer house was excellent for the little ones to explore and provision of some spaces and rackets was a really nice touch. It did feel in need of some minor upkeep and we were disappointed that the local caretaker was unable to help with an ant infestation in the lounge, and it took the owner almost 24 hours to advise they couldn’t help either. This wasn’t ideal with small children and having to resolve this ourselves wasn’t the service we expected when booking with Sykes. Minor gripes with quality of oven gloves, lack of crockery and very badly draining sinks.
