Gorse Bank is a well-loved cottage with direct beach access, offering panoramic views of Snowdonia and a comfortable, well-equipped stay. Guests have enjoyed the maintained hot tub and the thoughtful provisions by the owner, despite some concerns over parking and a disputed damage charge.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage is described as beautifully maintained, with a particularly clean and well-looked-after hot tub, indicating high standards of cleanliness.

The location is praised for its majestic views and proximity to the beach and local dining, though parking limitations have affected the convenience for some guests.

Reviews suggest the cottage is very comfortable, with guests spending hours enjoying the views from the balcony, indicating a high level of comfort.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the hot tub, but the score reflects the negative experience of one guest regarding a damage charge for the hot tub cover.

While the owner is commended for their thoughtfulness in providing necessary items, there is no mention of gifts, so it cannot be confirmed if they are a standard offering.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.

We had everything we needed from arrival. The owner had really thought about what you would need and it was supplied. I’m just disappointed I didn’t get to the Bara Brith before my brother did. The house was beautifully maintained, don’t normally venture into a hot tub- but this one was exceptionally cleaned and well looked after. The view from the property was majestic. Looking forward to our return.
