About this property

The Cottage is a charming, detached cottage situated in the heart of Abersoch, Gwynedd. Less than half a mile from a range of amenities and a sandy beach, this inviting abode welcomes friends and families eager to explore the beauty of the Welsh coastline. Step inside The Cottage and enter into an open-plan living space, where a breakfast bar provides an ideal spot for morning coffee whilst you plan for the day ahead. The sitting area with Smart TV is perfect for lazy evenings spent with your loved ones while the dining area is ideal for a family meal or a board game night. Head upstairs and you will find the three bedrooms - a king-size, a twin and a bunk room. Enjoy some fresh air on the balcony with bistro furniture or step outside to the small patio and fire up the barbecue for a summer feast. Abersoch is the perfect place to get away from it all and holiday with your loved ones. Take the time to explore this harbour village and head to Abersoch beach, where you can take a dip in the sea, build sandcastles, or simply cool off with a leisurely stroll as the waves roll in. Keen golfers can tee off at Abersoch Golf Club, whilst those looking to get their steps in can wander around the Llyn Peninsula, providing stunning coastal views. On your return, visit one of the many well-established restaurants; the Fresh Bar & Grill or The Cove Abersoch are both excellent options. Continue exploring as you head north towards Morfa Nefyn, to follow the RNLI Porthdinllaen National Trust Walk, whilst the Eryri National Park (Snowdonia) can be reached in a scenic drive and provides a wealth of outdoor opportunity. The Cottage is the perfect base for your getaway to North Wales.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.

The house was excellent for our family and had everything we needed. Location is perfect for both beach and town. The only improvements were that there was no information pack explaining bin days, checking out procedure etc. Also, the house was very dark as the lights were not sufficient and there were a few cobwebs and a bit of rubbish left around.

The bins were overflowing. The balcony was dirty with weeds growing through the slabs and it would be a major job to uncover the furniture and actually use it. Inside was also rather neglected with evidence of damp such as musty smells and a particularly strong smell upstairs. It felt unused. There was no information about the property, e.g. Wi-Fi password, collection days for rubbish and recycling, where the heating controls were and how to use them, etc. The TV wasn’t tuned in, so had to spend time setting that up. The light in the small bedroom didn’t work and several light bulbs were blown in the kitchen. A small welcome pack and some tourist information leaflets would have been a nice touch too. Off road parking was a bonus as was the situation close to town.

It’s situation in the almost centre of Abersoch ideal. The decor was for me was beautifully done, & tastefully & thoughtfully created. We visited end of April so we were unable to enjoy the balcony & outside facilities which in the summer months would add to the enjoyment, as garden limited, but the parking area at the front is so useful as Abersoch is full & vibrant in the summer, so parking helps. The equipment & facilities to enhance your stay, add to the comfort. & you can use the heating facility which is programme for the occasional help ( or more) but that is all we needed as April is a bit chilly. I would have loved to have read the history of the cottage. Plus a few more instructions , mainly when refuse is collected. Thankyou the high standard of cleanliness of ‘The Cottage’ was comforting when we arrived.
