The Garnwen Lodge is praised for its superb location, nestled between Amroth and Saundersfoot, offering easy access to beautiful coastal settlements, cafes, pubs, and shops. It serves as an excellent base for coastal walks. The lodge and park are generally well-regarded for cleanliness and comfort, with some guests planning to return. However, there are mentions of areas for improvement in maintenance and thoroughness of cleaning.
Reviews are mixed regarding cleanliness. Some guests found the lodge very clean, while others noted issues with under-cleaning in certain areas and a need for a deep clean. The presence of both positive and negative comments leads to a slightly above average score.
The location is consistently praised for its proximity to coastal paths, beaches, and local amenities. It is described as an excellent base for exploring the Pembrokeshire coast, contributing to a high score.
Guests found the lodge comfortable overall, but there were comments about a saggy mattress and musky smell in one of the bedrooms. The positive remarks about comfort outweigh the negatives, resulting in a good score.
Facilities are generally seen as adequate, with some guests suggesting improvements such as better kitchen equipment, updated guest information, and a more reliable TV signal. The need for maintenance in some areas affects the score.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Without this information, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.
Wonderful 2-bedroom holiday lodge set in the exclusive Heritage Park at Pleasant Valley, set amongst beautifully landscaped grounds and historic ruins.
Delightful holiday lodge at the exclusive Heritage Park just a short woodland walk away from the coast. The living area follows an open plan layout complete with comfortable seating, a dining area and newly-fitted kitchen. Both bedrooms have been thoughtfully decorated and patio doors lead out to a lovely raised patio area with seating. Wiseman's Bridge is a few minutes walk from the lodge and boasts a wonderful seafront pub and scenic coastal views. Follow the old railway line to the lively streets of Saundersfoot, lined with local pubs, fabulous restaurants and shops. There's also a bus to Tenby that stops outside the Heritage Park every hour.

Great location, park kept in excellent order. The lodge was perfect and had every amenity that you would want. Not far from great pub at Wisemans Bridge plus a great beach at Coppet Hall and not far from the lovely town of Saundersfoot.

Upon arrival greeted with a trip hazzard - a broken slab on path. On entering the Lodge - icy cold, no heating on. The waste bin lid was lying on the floor, no bin liner provided. Out of date packet of Welsh Cakes on tray in kitchen. Mugs/plate/dish left to dry on the sink drainer. The oven needed cleaning, meat tins well used and marked. The twin bedroom smelt musky and looked as if someone had used the beds. The bedding just pulled back and creased. A used towel hung the back of bedroom door. The dressing room in main bedroom had unwashed bed linen lying bungled up on floor. Only a few hand towels provided, not ideal when taking a shower. A very disappointing lodge based on Heritage Park, have stayed in far newer/cleaner. Also charged £25.00 non refundable in case of breakages, feel this is a cheek given the state of the lodge. This lodge overall needs a deep clean, attention to detail for paying guests and some TLC!!!
