The Old Stables in Fishguard receives high praise for its cleanliness, location, and the personal touches provided by the owners. Guests appreciate the property's proximity to local amenities and scenic walks, as well as the thoughtful welcome gifts. While some minor issues are mentioned, the overall sentiment is that of a comfortable and well-equipped cottage ideal for a relaxing stay in Pembrokeshire.
Reviewers consistently mention the property's cleanliness, describing it as 'spotless' and 'very clean'. The attention to cleanliness even during COVID-19 times is highlighted, indicating a high standard maintained by the owners.
The cottage is praised for its good location, with easy access to local shops, restaurants, and scenic walks. Its proximity to the Preseli hills and coastal paths adds to its appeal, although a few guests noted the lack of nearby short walks for dogs.
Comfort is generally well-regarded, with guests finding the property cosy and the living spaces pleasant. However, a few guests found the mattress hard and the mezzanine access steep, which slightly affected the comfort score.
Facilities are deemed well-equipped and adequate for a comfortable stay, with special mentions of the kitchen and self-catering items. Some guests suggested improvements such as updating the mattress and bathroom facilities, and the addition of a washing machine and dishwasher.
Guests frequently express gratitude for the thoughtful welcome gifts, including wine, cakes, and treats for dogs, which contribute to a warm welcome. It should be noted that while these gestures are greatly appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

Perfect location to walk into town or explore the surrounding area and itâs stunning scenery. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the welcome pack of wine, milk and Welsh cakes was very much appreciated. Loved the attention to detail such as the chocolate on the pillows, and the little quotes. The only criticism I would have is that you need some decent kitchen knives - the ones provided were next to useless which led to much frustration when prepping dinner. But, kitchen rage aside, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this romantic little cottage, it was just perfect.

Wonderful welcome from Gill, many thanks for the welsh cakes, wine and milk. Couldn't have wished for anything to be different, even the weather was lovely. Many thanks.
Charles
Cullendar needed, especially in Summer fir salads. Otherwise a charming cottage and excellent value considering access to facilities .
