Guests say

Guests are delighted with 2 Sunny Hill, praising its cleanliness, prime location, and comfort. The cottage's modern amenities and proximity to local attractions, including the coast path and village pub, are frequently highlighted. Owners are commended for their warm welcome and hospitality.

The cottage is consistently described as spotlessly clean, with multiple reviews affirming its cleanliness, which suggests a high standard maintained by the owners.

The location is highly praised for its picturesque views, easy access to the village, harbour, and coastal paths, making it an ideal spot for exploring the local area.

Comfort is frequently mentioned, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the home spacious. However, one minor suggestion about the duvet cover indicates a slight room for improvement.

Facilities are well-received with recent updates and modernisation. Some guests made minor suggestions for additional kitchen items and clarity on the heating system, indicating most needs are met but with a few areas for enhancement.

The owners' thoughtfulness is evident through mentions of a warm welcome, Welsh cakes, and roses on arrival. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, they are personal touches and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Whisk away outside and catch the last of the evening sun or find comfort in the bedrooms upstairs; there’s a double and a 4ft double on offer.Head to the bathroom, choosing between a bath or shower for a refreshing start to the morning. The industrial heritage at Porthgain is breath-taking and is on your doorstep and along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, you can explore Traeth Llyfn beach, a sandy and rocky beach backed by towering cliffs, providing a wonderful spot for swimming, picnicking and rock pooling or continue towards Abereiddy and the Blue Lagoon. The cottage is located in a tranquil setting high above Porthgain and affords lovely views of the village and countryside. The provision of a parking space is an added bonus. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the friendly and hospitable owners who live next door.A plate of delicious Welsh cakes and a vase of fresh roses had been left for us on the kitchen table. We found the cottage to be spotlessly clean, airy and well equipped.During our stay we made the most of the cottage’s close proximity to the coastal path which leads to Trefin and Abercastell in one direction and Abereiddi in the other. We have already booked a return visit next year.

The property was clean, spacious, comfortable, well-equipped, and nicely situated for walks along the coastal path or into the village. Our only minor grumble (and others may think differently) was that the polyester duvet cover on the main bed was rather uncomfortable, and meant one of us had difficulty sleeping (though to be fair this was probably the result of other factors too). Weather was a little mixed (as one would expect), but for the most part it was gloriously sunny and warm!

Great views, easy walk to pub and harbour, great for exploring the local area. Please use local bus, well worth it.
