Beach Cottage in Little Haven is highly praised for its superb location, with many guests loving its proximity to the beach and local amenities. The mix of old and new decor, the terrace, and the coastal views are frequently mentioned highlights. While some minor issues are noted, the overall sentiment is that the cottage offers a comfortable and memorable stay.
Most guests found Beach Cottage to be clean and tidy, contributing to a pleasant stay. However, one guest suggested it could benefit from a more thorough cleaning, which slightly impacts the overall score.
The location is consistently lauded for being right on the beach, with easy access to local pubs and the coastal footpath. Its idyllic setting in a friendly village is a standout feature that guests adore.
Guests generally find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of the sound of waves from the bedrooms. Some guests noted the mattresses could be improved, and the lack of heating downstairs was a minor discomfort for a few.
The cottage is well-equipped, with a good standard kitchen and bathroom. However, some guests experienced issues with heating controls, a lack of instructions for the wood fire, and minor maintenance points like light bulbs and a frying pan needing replacement.
While many guests appreciate the amenities and the helpfulness of the housekeeper, there are no specific mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.
Right beside the beach and slipway in Little Haven, this simple fisherman's cottage enjoys a unique position. The cottage offers welcoming accommodation within walking distance of three pubs, all of which serve good food. The coast path passes the front door and you can sit on the sea wall with your mug of coffee in the morning enjoying the view of the beach. At low tide you can walk along the beach to Broad Haven sands and there are many other beaches and coves to discover. Every room in this cottage enjoys a great beach view.
Local places of interest to visit are St Davids, Newgale, Solva and the bird islands of Skomer, Skokholm and Grassholm.
Little Haven is, just as its name suggests, a beautiful little village around a small sheltered cove, on the wonderful Pembrokeshire coastline. The coastal footpath runs around the cove, and the village offers a good selection of traditional and gastro-style pubs, a café, a bistro and a delightful craft shop. Small boats can be launched from the shoreline, and great days can be spent exploring the rock pools or relaxing on this lovely beach. The larger sandy beach at Broad Haven is just around the bay for boogie boarding and sea-kayaking, or for the surfers in your party, venture a little further north to Newgale for some of the best waves in Britain. If you can tear yourselves away from the beautiful beaches, the choice of days out are amazing. Visit the smallest city in Wales, St. Davids, with its magnificent cathedral, quaint little shops, tea rooms and restaurants or explore the numerous castles, mills and craft centres scattered around the county, plus another must see is the renowned Skomer Island, which is set just off mainland Wales. Feed the animals at Folly Farm or get the adrenaline pumping at Wales' largest Theme Park at Oakwood. For any age, any time of year, Pembrokeshire offers the perfect holiday destination.

The location is amazing by being right on the beach and in the middle of bustling Little Haven. It makes life so much easier for settling on the beach for the day as can quickly go back and get what you need. We have two young children and they felt instantly at home and so did I being walking distance of 3 pubs! We stayed at week and some days didnât need start car as there was every you need on your doorstep. Only downside which is a small one, is the house wasnât too clean, could do with a good clean throughout in my opinion. Apart from thatâs everything was ideal. Would highly recommend and would love to stay at Beach Cottage again!!

Great position. Very cosy. We went end of April / before May BH, so opening times for local shops /pub next door a bit haphazard. May be better later in the season.

Itâs everything you would want in a beach cottage with the most amazing views in a sleepy traditional Welsh village. Wonderful stay and made some great memoryâs!
