Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests found the property to be very clean, with specific praise for spotless conditions upon arrival. However, a few guests mentioned issues such as grubby handles, surfaces, and a need for better cleaning of windows and certain areas, slightly affecting the overall impression.

The location is highly praised for being peaceful and convenient, ideal for exploring nearby attractions and the coast. The quietness and the proximity to places like Tenby and Saundersfoot are seen as significant advantages.

Guests generally found the property comfortable, highlighting the quality of the beds and the presence of a lovely garden. Some discomfort was noted with the leatherette settee and the electric radiators' controls, which detracted slightly from the overall comfort.

Facilities are mostly appreciated, especially the well-equipped kitchen and the inclusion of a cot and high chair. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as a dribbling hot water tap, difficult hob controls, and a loose toilet seat, indicating room for improvement.

While many reviews express satisfaction with the property's amenities and the owner's helpfulness, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness. Therefore, a score cannot be provided for this category.

Fridge hadn't been cleaned. No toilet paper left, it is miles from a shop so we thought that was rather mean. Lots of rules in ema from the owner. Play stuff from previous visitors left laying in the garden. A little more attention to detail is required. This shouldn't be difficult as you have to arrive after 4pm and vacate by 10am.

Owner contacted me by e mail before we arrived with useful instructions. Saundersfoot was great to visit.

We had just boiled the kettle when we received a phone call from the owner of the cottage initial of thinking they were phoning to welcomers instead she was phoning us to reprimand and threaten us, the very ignorant neighbours had phoned her to complain that we were encroaching on her property. We were not made aware that that was an access road only and we had to immediately park on the very small gated drive. On the phone call the owner did not enquire about our drive welcomes to the cottage or thank us for booking. She just said you need to move your car. You’re encroaching on the neighbours property otherwise you’ll have to park on the road. We were so shocked my husband felt like getting in the car and driving another nine hours to take us back to the north of England, I would be kind to say that the property was very tired however it was dirty. The carpets were filthy. Curtains were dirty. The toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall the wardrobe panel I had to screw back on because that was also hanging off they were Maltesers , stuff down the side of the dirty leather corner suite rug in front of the fire had a burn mark on it and it was really filthy. The corners turned up and frame which could be a trip hazard pulled one of the tables out to rest our drinks on and it was real sticky and dirty it felt like there was something under the rug when I walked on it lifted it up and there were bits of wood and bits of plastic game pieces or toys under there so clearly this is a regular thing. It’s systemic. Only one good thing to say the beds were comfortable, but because the cottage was so filthy, I stripped them back to check mattresses and things because I did not want to sleep , on a dirty bed as I said the bed was fine. I do require somebody from Sykes cottages to get back to me as soon as possible
