Little Barn Cottage is praised for its cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and peaceful location, ideal for beach access and local walks. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen and thoughtful welcome packs, though some mention minor maintenance issues and suggest improvements for outdoor facilities.
The majority of guests found the cottage to be clean and well-presented, with only a few minor comments about specific items not being up to standard. The cleanliness is generally appreciated, contributing to a high score.
The location is highly regarded for its proximity to beaches and quiet setting. However, some guests were bothered by the presence of horse manure nearby, which affects the score slightly.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with a particularly nice bed and good shower. However, some guests mentioned issues with flies and uncomfortable mattresses in the twin room, which impacts the comfort score.
The cottage is well-equipped, but several guests noted the lack of an ice compartment in the fridge and outdoor seating. Maintenance issues like the gas fire and water supply problems were also mentioned, leading to a lower score.
While guests were delighted with the welcome packs, there is not enough information to determine if such thoughtfulness is consistent across all stays. Therefore, the score is set to null, and it should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed.

Unfortunately when we arrived it had not been cleaned and we were met with dirty bed linen and towels. After a nine hour car journey this was so disappointing as we just wanted to relax. After reporting this the cleaners came and did a quick whizz round offering to leave the hoovering and dusting which i declined and asked them to do it. Later we noticed that there were old dirty marks on the single bed sheet and bleach marks on the towel. No mopping took place on hard floors either. The cottage suffers from damp which is evident in places and the bed quilt felt damp even though the heating is good. Lack of attention to little things such as the two tin openers did not work and a knife had no point to it. The muck heap opposite the front door didn't bother us much at this time of year until the farmer came to move a couple of loads of it which left mud/muck outside and i noticed he broke up some of the concrete with his tractor. Had to move our car and go out for fear of being blocked in while he did this. When the lack of cleanliness was reported, the caretaker offered us 50.00 for 3 of us to go for dinner but we were too tired to go out after our journey unfortunately so couldn't take it up. The welcome pack was nice and appreciated. There were no logs but caught the cleaners as they left and asked them for some. They left some but we couldnt light the log burner and there were no instructions anywhere as we are not used to log burners.

Lovely lounge/comfy beds and a well appointed Kitchen. Had some lovely walks around Dinaâs Cross to beaches and to view points. Cheesecake at shop/garage was a real hit with kids. Only negative was no outside hanging area for wet wetsuits/swimming gear ⦠could a retractable line down side of property be possible?
Daniel
we felt very comfortable. Would love to come back
