Pembroke 4.7 miles. The Coach House is a beautifully converted 17th century loft barn in the Pembrokeshire national park that is separately located from the main farmhouse. It is an ideal location for romantic getaways or an activity based holiday, with the property being surrounded by beautiful countryside, giving you immediate access to the Castlemartin range path that connects directly to the coastal path, perfect for if you bring your canine companion, to enjoy the outdoor life, and is excellent for those who want to partake in cycling, surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, coasteering and walking, as well as some relaxing. The area is also well known for its climbing, this is known to be some of the best in the UK. The Coach House is approached by an outdoor staircase to the first floor entrance, there is space for walking boots and outdoor coats to be hung and shoes to be stored. The characterful layout includes an open living space, with sloping ceilings and original beams, and a fully equipped kitchen is set up to prepare a full evening meal that can be enjoyed at the dining table, before relaxing on the sofa. After a busy day, make your way over to the stylish bedroom, fitted with a glorious super-king-size zip and link bed, which can be prepared for couples or two singles, and there is plenty of wardrobe space and a dressing table. The handy sofa bed could be used if you do have younger children you would want to bring along. Sliding doors take you through to the en-suite shower room, furnished to a high quality standard, enjoying countryside views, you can lie your head back and soak in a steamy shower. Just around to the rear of the barn is a private enclosed garden, with table and chairs, where you can enjoy the wonderful sunrise with your morning coffee and take in the views across unspoilt farmland, with foxes, badgers, birds and bats all being frequent visitors in this area. There is also secure bike storage if required and access to a washing machine, and areas to dry wetsuits etc. Set on the Castlemartin peninsular, the Coach House is set close to the Castlemartin army camp, great for visitors to watch tanks manoeuvring from the spectators viewing area, the range also includes sites of specific interest including the Green Bridge of Wales and St Govans Chapel. Pembroke is just a short journey away, with cafés, pubs, local shops selling artisan products and historic attractions including Pembroke Castle. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path takes you along to several beaches, award winning Barafundle Bay Beach which frequently featuring in the worlds top 10 beaches, as well as National Trust Broadhaven south beach, which provides access to the Stackpole lily ponds. You’ll also find Freshwater West beach, which is great for surfing and famous as the location for Shell Cottage in The Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows films. For the younger, and young at heart, there are numerous activity parks, including Oakwood, for thrill seekers, Heatherton for a fun filled day out or Folly Farm for wonderful animals. Venture over to Tenby, a popular destination, home to glorious sandy beaches ideal for boat trips, sunbathing, swimming, restaurants, shops, museums and art galleries. Mike and Hannah were attentive and relaxed hosts ,and Mike was so helpful when we had a puncture on the day before we left . The accommodation was clean,welcoming ,and well equipped and the large bed super comfy . The area is stunning , beautiful beaches and places to visit ,lots of options for eating out , We all (including Hal our Welsh Springer ) really enjoyed our stay . Hopefully we will be back,maybe in Springtime . Thank you again Jen , Steve and Hal
