Picton House has over the years been upgraded to a good standard offering a very comfortable retreat with plenty of charm and character.
Picton House holiday cottage was built in 1856 and was originally part of the Picton Estate which covered a large part of Pembrokeshire. In the old days the cook lived next door in what is now Picton Cottage, with farm animals at the back and cold stores underneath the house. Some of the original features still remain including a tiny alcove in the ground floor hallway where the old back door handle would have swung back into. The bathrooms are now where the original hay loft was. The house has over the years been upgraded to a good standard offering a very comfortable retreat with plenty of charm and character. Situated in the heart of the pretty village of Penally, a short walk from the church, Cross Inn and the village shop. A five minute stroll takes you across the golf course to Tenby's South Beach and a short walk along the beach takes you into Tenby town centre. Note: Not ideal for very young children due to external spiral staircase that leads to the garden. Young children will need to be supervised when they are on the balcony and the spiral stairs.
