Guests say

2 Primrose Cottage in Saundersfoot offers a quiet location with friendly neighbours, ideal for a relaxing stay. Guests appreciate the property's proximity to the village and beaches, as well as the secure garden for pets. While some guests have highlighted areas for improvement, the cottage's charm and potential for a delightful stay are evident.

Reviews indicate a mixed response regarding cleanliness. Some guests found the property clean, while others reported issues such as sand on the floor, dirty carpets, and a general need for a deeper clean. The inconsistency in cleanliness has affected guest satisfaction.

The location is highly praised for its quietness and proximity to Saundersfoot village, beaches, and amenities. The convenience of the location contributes positively to the overall experience, despite the steep walk mentioned by some.

Comfort receives a moderate score as guests have enjoyed the quietness for a good night's sleep and found the beds comfy. However, some guests mentioned the need for updating furniture and bedding, and issues with the shower, which detracted from the comfort level.

Facilities and maintenance are areas of concern, with several guests noting the need for refurbishment and attention to garden upkeep. Issues with kitchen utensils, bathroom fixtures, and garden furniture have been highlighted, suggesting room for improvement in this category.

While some guests mentioned a welcome pack with coffee, milk, and Welsh cakes, there is not enough consistent information across reviews to determine if such gestures are a standard practice for all stays. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that such gifts will be provided.

Had a few issues, utensils are not good need replacing, bowls got cracks in them, microwave rusty so wouldn't use it. Positive side it is a lovely cottage to stay

It is an ideal size for 2-4 people and of course dog friendly. The welcome pack of milk, biscuits and chocolate was much appreciated. The potential for it being an ideal holiday home is great. the seaside decor and pictures etc are wonderful. There were plenty of towels provided. However there were several things which were very disappointing for the price we paid. The double bedroom bed linen was old and bobbly and smelt sour. The fitted sheet did not stretch over the mattress fully and came half way down the sides. We didn't use the double bed but I am sure the bottom sheet would have been in a heap in the middle by morning. The light switch in the double bedroom was broken. There was a table lamp. The ceiling light socket was broken in the twin bedroom but again there was a table lamp. The bed linen in there was really nice. The shower head would not stay up and repeatedly flopped down so that the shower ran down the corner of the bath and not into the bath to enable standing under it. The sofa in the lounge was so worn and uncomfortable and seemed to be missing the original back cushions. There were several scatter cushions but it was not possible to sit back comfortably and have your legs bent and feet on the floor. The vertical blinds on the lounge window were broken. We were not able to recycle as the bags did not seem to correlate with the list in the kitchen. There was one black bin bag in the kitchen bin. The outside bin and recycling boxes and bags had been put as a sort of barricade at the bottom of the steps up to the washing line, presumably by a previous guest. This may possibly have been because the back top fence of the garden had a slat of the fence which had come out and was lying on the floor. The gap was wide enough for our little dog to get through but we watched him when he was in the garden and didn't let him go up there. There were no dog hairs or signs of a dog being there which was very good. The cottage could be really good with some TLC and freshening up and maintenance on the broken items.

The cottage itself is kept clean and tidy with everything you need for cooking holiday meals, the bedrooms both have roller blinds and curtains for a restful sleep, the garden has a table and chairs for relaxing in. Walking down to the front takes about 15-20mins where there's several places to get food and bars to have a drink, there's a Tesco express and a Spar to get the essential. There's also several carparks around the pretty harbour and beaches, the nearest beach allows dogs all year.
