Captiva Cottage is highly praised for its superb location in Saundersfoot, offering easy access to local amenities and the beach. Guests appreciate the well-equipped property, spaciousness, and the charming marine-themed decor. While some guests mention issues with cleanliness and maintenance, these are outweighed by the overall positive experiences and the property's convenience and comfort.
Most guests found Captiva Cottage to be clean and well-kept, though there were a few mentions of floors not being mopped, presence of dog hair, and a smell of dog urine. These instances seem to be exceptions rather than the rule, hence the score reflects a generally high standard of cleanliness with room for improvement.
The location of Captiva Cottage is consistently lauded for being just a short stroll from the beach, harbour, shops, and restaurants. Its convenience for both relaxation and exploring the local area is a highlight for many guests.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and cosy living spaces. However, some guests noted that certain mattresses lacked support and that the property could benefit from additional bathrooms, especially when accommodating larger groups.
The cottage is praised for its range of facilities, including technology like TVs and an Xbox. However, there are comments about the need for maintenance, such as replacing garden furniture and addressing a plumbing issue. The well-equipped nature of the cottage contributes positively to this score.
While the reviews reflect that the owners are responsive and the property is well-equipped, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate a level of thoughtfulness beyond the expected. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

Couple of tweaks needed eg mattress in front room very hard, pots & pans over used need replacing, tv remote (standby button) temperamental. Garden could be an issue for anyone with mobile disabilities! Definitely one of the better cottages we have stayed in.

Cottage was perfectly situated garden was not accessible for me due to steps and my mobility, would benefit from extra bathroom especially for 8 people, overall good

Clean and spacious. The cooker was a bit tricky but we figured it out in the end . Maybe an idiot proof guide to the hob would be helpful !! Appreciated all the dehumidifiers - felt like they were all doing the job and didn't have any worries about damp or concerns about sleeping in the rooms. Location ideal.
