Guests say

Guests have consistently praised 'Stones Throw' for its excellent location in Tenby, comfortable and spacious accommodation, and well-maintained facilities. The property's cleanliness and the private courtyard are also highlighted as positives. While minor issues with a kitchen door lock and the absence of tea towels were noted, these did not detract from the overall exceptional experience.

Reviewers have remarked on the property's cleanliness, noting crisp and clean bedding and well-kept toilets and bathrooms. No negative comments about cleanliness suggest a high standard is maintained.

The location is highly praised for being close to amenities and beaches, with guests appreciating the convenience of having everything within walking distance.

The property is described as very comfortable, with plenty of room to relax. The top bedroom and patio area are particularly appreciated for their comfort.

Facilities are generally described as excellent, with a fully functional house and sufficient storage. However, a point was deducted for the kitchen door lock issue and the absence of tea towels.

There is no mention of gifts or additional thoughtful touches in the reviews provided, so it is not possible to assess this category.

About this property

Centrally located in Tenby, a coastal resort in Pembrokeshire, South Wales is Stones Throw, a delightful, three-storey townhouse. Resting a 'stone's throw' away from the stunning coastline, and a hub of amenities and attractions, the home makes a wonderful base for a family seascape, inviting eight guests and a furry companion. Park up in one of two nearby public car parks, purchasing a permit to park across the county, before heading indoors, firstly reaching the lovely living/dining room, complete with seating for eight, plush sofas, a Smart TV, and a gas coal effect fire, offering a relaxing space to unwind after a day of adventure. Locate the well-equipped kitchen, where you can rustle up delicious meals with an electric oven, gas hob and dishwasher for ease, before gathering around the dining table, or setting the outdoor table for an alfresco affair. As the sun sets, select between four well-appointed bedrooms, starting with a king-size, a double and a bunk room on the first floor which are accompanied by a shower room. The final double bedroom rests on the second floor, providing enough space to accommodate all guests. The home is complete with a spacious bathroom, housing a free-standing bath and walk-in shower, to suit all preferences, downstairs there is a handy cloakroom with WC. Once you're ready to explore Tenby, travel on foot to a nearby convenience store to stock up on the essentials, or dine out near the coastline, before enjoying a stroll along Tenby North Beach, a round of golf at the local golf club, a tour of the Tenby Museum and Art Gallery, or the chance to sightsee at Tenby Castle. Several family-friendly attractions are within driving distance, perfect to visit no matter the weather, with the Dinosaur Park, the Manor Wildlife Park, and Heatherton World of Activities a short car journey away. Be sure to visit Pembroke where you can brush up on your local knowledge at the Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre, visit Pembroke Castle overlooking Mill Pond, or enjoy a stroll around the surrounding parkland, before heading back to the dock, lined with eateries and shops. Round off your getaway with a tour of the remains of Carmarthen Castle, a train ride upon the Gwili Steam Railway, or riverside strolls alongside River Towy, before returning home in time for supper. Gather the entire family at Stones Throw.

Tenby, a lively beach town in Wales renowned as "The Jewel in the Crown," is majestically situated on the breath-taking "Welsh Riviera." Tenby is a part of the 186-mile Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, where the Gulf Stream warms the water and one of the sunniest counties in the UK is located. This charming town, which is surrounded by mediaeval walls, has a web of cobblestone lanes and is home to a variety of unique stores, an indoor market for locally sourced foods, tea rooms, and alluring restaurants. While hikers and bikers can appreciate the local flora and fauna on the coastal walks, there are nearly three miles of beautiful, Blue Flag-awarded beaches, providing a variety of activities.

No over the top dust collection ornaments, therefore plenty of useful space and easily maintained throughout the week. Toilets & bathrooms were in excellent condition as were the 4 well sized bedrooms. All rooms contained sufficient storage and fixtures & fittings were generally in good condition. Bedding was crisp & clean with plenty of towels. Courtyard garden is a comfortable and private space with plenty of seating. Only two points worth mentioning. Access door from kitchen to courtyard is a pain to lock and needs adjusting as security is compromised-very difficult to lock once opened. There were no tea towels available therefore it may be worth mentioning in the facilities section within the listing. We very much enjoyed the quality of the accommodation and its location to town was spot on. Overall we were very impressed.
