The Waggoner's Cottage is a very attractive detached property between Welshpool and Newtown, each round 7 miles away. Converted from former stables, the cottage is set on the hillside and boasts fabulous far reaching views over the Severn Valley from the garden, patio and hot tub! *A 20% discount is available throughout the year for a couple.
This high quality cottage has three bedrooms - a double, a twin and a compact single room. There is a bathroom on the first floor and a shower room on the ground floor, each with a WC and basin. The kitchen is fitted with oak units and a dishwasher, and there is a washing machine and a freezer in the separate utility room. The beamed lounge/diner has a TV, DVD, CD player and a woodburner in the stone inglenook fireplace. French windows lead out to a patio and private lawned garden with barbecue, garden furniture and hot tub. Guests can also enjoy access to a shared games room with table tennis & pool table and an outdoor play area for children.
The Waggoner's Cottage is situated on the owners' working farm in an area excellent for walking, with nature walks from the door and Offa's Dyke footpath very nearby. The Severn Way, along the Montgomery Canal, for walking and cycling is a mile away. Local fishing and a golf course are also only a mile away. A visit to the picturesque village of Berriew, 3 miles away, is highly recommended, with its black and white houses, family butcher's, tea room and two village pubs serving food. Historic Montgomery is just 4 miles away with hilltop castle ruins to explore. Powis Castle & Gardens, the Welshpool to Llanfair Light Railway and Welshpool's amenities are all within a 15 minute drive.
