Inside the airy and well-sized kitchen is a black and white fitted ‘L’-shaped unit and a dining table with four chairs. Follow the stairs to the bedrooms – a green king-size with a wooden beamed ceiling and an en-suite bathroom plus a twin room with an en-suite shower room. Outside, you can enjoy a private garden and terrace area as well as the additional games barn which is shared with the adjoining cottage and contains a pool table and table tennis.

During your stay in the quiet hills north of Brecon (8 miles), you could stroll along the walking trails through the surrounding hills. Venture into the Brecon Beacons National Park and hike around Fforest Fawr Geopark or Llyn y fan Fawr – also near here, you can discover the National Showcaves Centre for Wales (all within 16 miles). Browse over 20 bookshops in the market town of Hay-on-Wye (25.5 miles) or get ready for an adventure at one of the local outdoor activity organisers who offer kayak hire, zip lining and canoe trips.
