We really appreciated the milk, bread, etc. when we arrived - a lovely touch from the owner :-) All bedrooms were as described and there were plenty of towels for all the guests too. We did find a few small cleaning issues when we first arrived, such as biscuit wrappers on one of the bathroom floors and dirt/crumbs underneath the dining room table, but this didn't affect our stay. We would suggest somewhere to hang coats would be beneficial, but otherwise the cottage was perfect for our needs.

It is absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, the inside really lets it down. Although it is spacious, it is very tired in some parts and really needs to be tidied up and thoroughly cleaned. There is plaster peeling off the walls in the kitchen and the kitchen is very grubby, particularly the floor, there was broken glass on the kitchen floor when we arrived, possibly from a beer/wine bottle but not great with kids and dogs. There were also broken utensils, like the can opener and the knives were either missing rusty or dirty. The most off putting thing is that there are strips of fly catchers hanging from the ceilings throughout the property, full of flies and the one above the dining table was so full that flies were actually dropping onto the table. The upstairs is better, nice bed linen and comfortable beds but again things are broken. It also states that towels are provided but the majority of these are hand towels. There were not enough bath towels for us all. We go away with another family in Wales every year and this is the most expensive so far, we have stayed in cheaper properties that have been cleaner and better equipped, so overall just feel disappointed as the property could be easily improved to a better standard with some upgrades and maintenance.

No problems with the cottage at all. Had all we needed. Would be good to have more hooks around to hang things, like coats, towels, dressing gowns etc and shelving in the showers. But a great week in beautiful surroundings with lots of beautiful places to visit.
