Guests consistently praise The Talkhouse Cottage for its comfort, well-equipped facilities, and the thoughtful touches provided by the hosts. The property is described as cosy, beautifully decorated, and ideal for both humans and dogs. While some guests noted minor issues with cleanliness and road noise, these did not detract significantly from the overall positive experience.
Most guests found the cottage to be spotlessly clean, though a few mentioned cobwebs and a piece of broken glass. These seem to be isolated incidents, as the majority of reviews reflect a high standard of cleanliness.
The location is generally appreciated for its beauty and convenience for exploring Mid Wales. However, some guests mentioned that road noise was noticeable, and the proximity to the road could be a disturbance for light sleepers.
The cottage receives high praise for its comfort, with guests mentioning the cosy atmosphere, comfortable bed, and luxurious bathroom. The enclosed garden was also appreciated by dog owners.
Facilities are highly regarded, with the cottage being well-equipped and thoughtfully furnished. Guests appreciated the full range of amenities, though a few suggested additional items like basic toiletries and a small vacuum cleaner.
Guests frequently mention the thoughtful welcome packs for both humans and dogs, which added to the enjoyment of their stay. It should be noted that while these gifts are highly appreciated, they are a gracious gesture from the hosts and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Talk Cottage is highly maintained and spotlessly clean. It is an ideal base to explore mid Wales and has all amenities near by including a good roadside cafe for a tasty breakfast after a morning departure.

Warm, comfortable and with a welcome pack. Nice and peaceful once the moderate daytime traffic dies down. If I would make one suggestion, it would be to add a shaver socket in the bathroom, unless I somehow missed it.
Kim
We would definitely recommend and hope to return next year to see more of the lovely countryside.
