Caersws 1.8 miles. Resting in Pontdolgoch near Caersws, Powys is this romantic, single-storey cottage, The Talkhouse Cottage. With open-plan living, rural surroundings and a bedroom with en-suite, this is a wonderful, pet-friendly cottage for two guests to explore Mid Wales. Off-road parking is available in front of the characterful, stone-walled converted stable with a gorgeous oak porchway beckoning you inside. The open-plan living space has been lovingly decorated with farmhouse furnishings and charming décor; the spacious, well-equipped kitchen area is a foodie's dream with a gas range cooker to rustle up home-cooked meals. Set the table for a candle-lit dinner for two before snuggling up on the sofa by the warmth of the gas fire, with a TV and DVD player for evening entertainment. You'll find a pretty king-size bedroom with vaulted ceilings and ample storage space to make yourself at home; turn on the TV for lazy mornings catching your favourite shows, before getting ready in the stylish en-suite. Sink into the bubbles in the roll-top bath, complete with a shower over and heated towel rail for added comfort. The front garden is a peaceful little sanctuary to enjoy the sunshine from the outdoor seating and plan the day's adventures; head into the nearby village of Caersws to stock up at the local butcher, delicatessen specialising in Welsh produce, or dine at one of three traditional pubs.
