A truly stunning rural idyll this delightful, detached stone cottage dates back to the 15th century and is in a spectacular position for walking holidays right on the Kerry Ridgeway, 500 yards from Offa's Dyke with stunning unrivalled panoramic views of Wales' two highest mountains, Cadair Idris & Snowdon, on clear days.

This pet friendly Kerry Ridgeway holiday cottage with WiFi has been refurbished to a very high standard and retains a wealth of beams, original features and a woodburning stove in the open plan living area.

Upper Castlewright Cottage is steeped in history. It has twice been a 'Drovers Inn', once in the 16th century and again in the 18th century. In the 1850's known as 'The Britannia' it was a watering hole for drovers from deepest Wales and further afield taking their livestock to the London markets. They penned their animals across the pathway outside, in what is now a second garden.

This is the glorious unspoilt Welsh Marches borderlands peppered with market towns and historic sites - a timeless part of the world with lots to explore. Pet friendly.
