Hillside View offers a peaceful location with stunning views and a hot tub, ideal for relaxation. Guests appreciate the cleanliness, friendly staff, and pet-friendly environment. While some find the lodges cosy and well-equipped, others note that certain aspects, such as mattresses and maintenance, could be improved. The area's beauty and the property's tranquillity are frequently praised, making it a potential choice for a getaway.
The majority of guests found the lodges clean, with several positive remarks about the tidiness of the cabins. However, a few comments about the hot tub's cleanliness and a dirty floor due to lack of cleaning equipment slightly lower the score.
The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, beautiful views, and proximity to local amenities and nature walks. The peacefulness and privacy are consistent highlights, contributing to a high score.
Guests enjoyed the cosy atmosphere of the lodges, but several noted that the mattresses were uncomfortable and could feel the springs. The comfort level is satisfactory for some, but there is room for improvement.
Facilities like the hot tub are appreciated, but there are numerous mentions of maintenance issues such as broken windows, problematic doors, and outdated appliances. The need for updates and repairs affects this score.
There is insufficient information regarding thoughtful touches such as gifts or special amenities provided by the property. Therefore, a score cannot be given in this category.

The view was lovely, all the things you could need, oven, kettle, hot tub! Downsides, im a big bloke and the mattress wasnt the nicest. We was having a relaxing day in but maintenance work next to our lodge ruined that. I understand jobs need to be done but look at your bookings, try and plan when people arent on a relaxing break. Sound of a petrol strimmer for 4 hours isnt really 'chill'. The road to the lodges needs a little tlc, bit bouncy. The negatives been said how ever, we would probably return, id just sleep in the hot tub.

The location is great, a short drive from Rhayader which has lovely places to eat and lots of great walks in that area. It is a very peaceful site with lovely views of surrounding countryside. The lodge was a good size and plenty of space for 3 of us and our 2 dogs. The heating worked well and it was nice and cozy. The hot tub made the week, although was not very hot when we arrived however once we figured out how to increase the temperature it was wonderful. The lodge is equipped with basics but may be worth noting you need to take things like salt n pepper, coffee, tea etc and soap for the bathroom as nothing is provided. On the whole it is a great place to stay however there were a few things that could do with maintenance or updating as follows; The double bed was not comfortable, you could feel the springs, it could do with a new mattress, my Mum stated the single beds were comfortable though. There is nowhere in the bathroom to put toiletries and appears as if there was something in the shower for this but it had broken. There are only 4 chairs outside and the lodge is for 6. There was only 3 of is so it was no problem for us however it would also have been nice to have cushions for them as they are not comfortable to sit out on for longer periods. There is no cleaning products and only a tall brush and dustpan and brush. The hot tub lid was tricky to get on and off and took two of us to do it, we think there was a bit broken that it should have rested on and would maybe have made it easier. There was also one seat in it that did not have jets working and the lights did not work either. The TV and WiFi was poor but we expected that might be the case in the countryside. These are all little things really and it just needs a bit of maintenance however on the whole we had a lovely time and we and the dogs really enjoyed the stay.

However, the âhillside viewâ is completely blocked by the tall hedge, the WiFi is practically unusable and you canât connect your own devices to it, the seemingly old spring mattresses are very uncomfortable, thereâs lots of flies (albeit fly spray is provided) and the road leading up to the cabin is very uneven. The cabin itself is nice and itâs great that the hot tub is covered but I donât think Iâd stay here again in light of the uncomfortable beds, blocked view & lacking WiFi.
