Guests say

Guests appreciate the apartment's immaculate condition, prime location in Conwy, and its suitability for dog owners. The property is praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and modern amenities. While some minor maintenance issues and a pet odour have been noted, the overall experience remains positive, with many guests enjoying their stay and some even rebooking for future visits.

The property generally receives high marks for cleanliness, with several reviews mentioning it being 'spotless' and 'immaculate'. However, there are comments about a pet odour, cobwebs, and marks on walls, which slightly lower the score.

The location is highly praised for being quiet, yet conveniently close to Conwy town, the castle, and scenic walks. It is considered perfect for guests with dogs and those looking to explore the area.

Most guests find the apartment comfortable, noting the quality of the bedding and the well-equipped space. Some concerns about the size for larger groups and a sagging shower tray are noted, but overall comfort is rated positively.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a good shower and well-equipped kitchen. However, issues with Wi-Fi, a lack of instructions for appliances, and maintenance concerns such as a cracked shower tray and non-working bathroom fan affect the score.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

Conwy, a World Heritage Site, is without doubt world famous for its historical and architectural heritage, yet at the heart of the town lies a hub of bustling activity. Alongside its ancient festivals and fairs, musical recitals, galleries and historical attractions, there is an array of specialist shops, restaurants and hotels. Built for King Edward I between 1283 and 1287, Master James of St George's design, Conwy Castle remains one of the most outstanding achievements of medieval military architecture. The distinctive, elongated shape, with its two barbicans, eight massive towers and a great bow-shaped hall was perhaps determined by the narrow rocky outcrop on which the castle stands. The town is proud of its historic traditions and celebrates its past by retaining many of these in its annual festivals, events and fairs, including the Honey fair, Seed fair and Gwledd Conwy Feast in October, along with other musical events throughout the year. Conwy is the perfect base for exploring the dramatic Snowdonia National Park, walking unspoilt sandy beaches, or taking in the wonderful scenery on your doorstep. Also within reach are the Llechwedd Slate Caverns, which has the longest zip wire in Europe, and Surf Snowdonia is just six miles away.

Easy access and quiet location. Found tv extremely difficult to find anything to watch and the intermittent wi fi was not good and for some reason kept going off and comming back on throuought the day and night.Really missed dishwasher and tumble drier so didn’t like washing drying around the flat. I would however stay there again as I feel I did get what I paid for and the surrounding areas are so beautiful we didn’t actually stay in much,so a perfect base for a wonderful winter break.

The bedding and towels were great, bed comfortable but the overpowering stench of dog was truly dreadful. I even bought febreze to use on the sofa and carpets, to no avail. Someone had clearly allowed their dog access to the sofa and bedroom. It desperately needs a paint job, with marks everywhere and stains on the wall in the bedroom and on the ceiling and walls in the lounge presumably from the flat above. There were cobwebs everywhere. The bathroom fan wasn’t working and the shower tray was cracked, causing a dangerous sag in the centre. The bins outside on the drive were overflowing when we arrived. During the week we saw various people around, who in fact were maintenance for the owners. We learned that they were aware of all the issues and we were told they were going to be dealt with when the apartment was not booked. The dreadful smell was mentioned by the previous review, so they clearly know about that too. In the meantime people are clearly expected to put up with it. It’s a great shame, as the apartment should, and could, be lovely. It’s a great shame that people are booking and paying in good faith and also that notices in the property regarding the rules about pets are not adhered to!!
