Bryn Elsi is a well-received cottage in Betws-y-Coed, praised for its quiet yet central location, spaciousness, and comfort. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, cosy living spaces, and the warm welcome of Welsh cakes. While some minor cleanliness issues and maintenance needs are noted, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests eager to return.
Most guests found the property clean and well-presented, though a few noted areas with dust, cobwebs, and a damp smell in lower bedrooms. The cleanliness is generally satisfactory, but there is room for improvement, particularly in deep cleaning and addressing the dampness.
The location is highly praised for being peaceful yet conveniently close to the town centre and local amenities. Its proximity to Snowdonia and ease of access to walks and restaurants contribute to its high rating.
Guests consistently mention the comfort of the property, noting the warm atmosphere, comfortable bedding, and ample space for families and groups. The presence of a log burner and the property's layout contribute to the overall comfort.
The property is commended for its well-equipped kitchen and utility room, though some guests suggest updates to certain utensils and mention a need for more thorough maintenance. The presence of a dehumidifier indicates awareness of the damp issue, but it also suggests a need for better solutions.
Welsh cakes on arrival are frequently mentioned, indicating a thoughtful touch. However, the inconsistency of welcome packs and the lack of guaranteed amenities such as soap and condiments suggest that while the property aims to be thoughtful, it does not consistently meet expectations in this regard.
