About this property

Bryn Tawel is an inviting stone-built, terraced house resting in Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, in the beautiful rural village of Penmachno, Conwy. This three-bedroom property sleeps six people and comes equipped with ample bike storage, an electric fire, and a charcoal barbecue, suiting a family or group of friends and two polite pets. After returning from your scenic cycle, store your bikes in the external utility. Wipe away the muck off your puppy as the washing machine and tumble dryer take care of your laundry, before entering the open-plan living space. Get warm and toasty by the electric fire and switch on the Smart TV as dinner cooks with the help of an electric oven, halogen hob, or microwave, with the fridge/freezer available to store your favourite treats. On those warmer evenings, why not sizzle supper on the barbecue in the garden? After you dig to your feast at the dining table for six, the dishwasher will volunteer for clean-up duty. Take a refreshing dip in the bath, before falling into a king-size, double, or twin bed waiting to catch you. Adventure waits at your doorstep, so why not start with a cycle along the Penmachno MTB Trail, through National Trust – Ty Mawr Wybrnant, and into the whimsical woods of Fairy Glen. Nearby sits Betws-y-Coed – feed your kids’ energy at Zip World, before engaging in history at Conwy Valley Railway Museum, then take your four-legged friends on a scenic stroll to Miners’ Bridge, Swallow Falls, and along tan-dinas-path. A little further afield is Llanberis, where Dolbardarn Castle waits to be explored and the Snowdon Mountain Railway longs to be ridden up; a postcard picturesque landscape. Or take a short drive to Llandudno for a day at the beach! Fly to new heights at Summit Cable Car Station, browse seaside trinkets along Llandudno Pier, or ride the slopes at Llandudno Ski and Snowboard Centre. The list of adventures are plentiful, but Bryn Tawel is the place to stay.

The small, peaceful village of Penmachno is situated in the beautiful Machno Valley, just 4 miles from the popular town of Betws-y-Coed. Surrounded by woodland, magnificent mountains and flowing rivers, the whole area is a haven for walkers, birdwatchers, mountain bikers and climbers, whilst Betws-y-Coed itself offers a good range of shops, pubs and cafes. Here the River Conwy meets its three tributaries, creating a host of cascading waterfalls, river pools and ancient bridges throughout the surrounding countryside, the most famous of which is the magnificent waterfall at Swallow Falls, situated where the River Llugwy meets with a spectacular chasm, creating a sight not to be missed! The beautiful Conwy Falls are also well worth a visit and are situated in the Machno Valley. With all of Snowdonia to explore and North Wales' Heritage Coastlines also within easy reach, this beautiful location has plenty to offer at any time of year.
