The Long House is a stone-built, detached cottage settled into the countryside location of Penmachno. Be welcomed into a homely abode with characterful features throughout, and tasteful William Morris fabric, creating a bubble of character for you to recline in after a long day of exploring the local area. When mealtimes call, head into the kitchen, a space with ample amenities. Here there is a dining table where guests can indulge in a hearty meal, as well as ladder access to a games room with table football. The sitting room hosts an open fire, ideal for catching up on a good book as you warm your feet. On the ground floor there is a shower room and a bathroom for your refreshment, allowing guests to take a warm shower or a soak amongst the bubbles. Strewn with wooden beams and wooden features, the character of the ground floor is continued into two plush bedrooms, each with storage for your belongings. Outside, enjoy the beautiful valley views from the grassed area as you enjoy a coffee and plan the day ahead of you. Penmachno is a rural village offering a local store for your essentials, and a pub, The Eagles Hotel. The small, peaceful village of Penmachno is situated in the beautiful Machno Valley, just 4 miles from the popular town of Betws-y-Coed. Surrounded by woodland, magnificent mountains and flowing rivers, the whole area is a haven for walkers, birdwatchers, mountain bikers and climbers, whilst Betws-y-Coed itself offers a good range of shops, pubs and cafes. Here the River Conwy meets its three tributaries, creating a host of cascading waterfalls, river pools and ancient bridges throughout the surrounding countryside, the most famous of which is the magnificent waterfall at Swallow Falls, situated where the River Llugwy meets with a spectacular chasm, creating a sight not to be missed! The beautiful Conwy Falls are also well worth a visit and are situated in the Machno Valley. With all of Snowdonia to explore and North Wales' Heritage Coastlines also within easy reach, this beautiful location has plenty to offer at any time of year.

The location was really peaceful- close to the A5 and quick access to all the famous peaks, but in a little visited valley off a quiet lane. We loved the building which oozes quirky, rural and cosy charm but with all the modern comforts you need. Some minor maintenance issues caused no upset for us but may do for those who want 'sterile perfection'. Hope we're able to be welcomed back in the future.

Kitchen especially (no heating in the area at all). Lovely sitting room with plenty of chairs. Would have been ideal to have a small enclosed area for dogs. Please look at plug in bath as have to use a plunger to get it to open. Games supplied is a nice touch and thank you for coffee bags, milk and biscuits on arrive - these little things are appreciated thank you
