The location is ideal for exploring North Wales, with easy access to local attractions and walks. The property is described as comfortable and homely, with a modern kitchen and bathroom adding to the appeal. The thoughtful touches by the owner, including local tips and a welcoming atmosphere, contribute to a highly recommended stay.

Reviewers frequently mention the property's spotless condition and the meticulous attention to cleanliness, indicating a very high standard maintained throughout the cottage.

The property's location is highly praised for its proximity to beaches, Snowdonia, and local amenities, as well as the stunning views it offers, making it an excellent base for exploration.

The cottage is repeatedly described as comfortable and cosy, with comfy beds and a homely feel. However, a few comments about single bed mattresses suggest a slight room for improvement in comfort for some guests.

The property is well-equipped with a modern kitchen and bathroom, ample kitchenware, and a good heating system. There is a mention of limited on-street parking and a desire for an additional bathroom, which slightly affects the score.

Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches such as local attraction leaflets and a bottle of wine, although it's noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be a consistent offering for all stays.

About this property

Penmaenmawr 0.5 miles. A delightful mid-terraced cottage, located in the elevated hamlet of Dwygyfylchi, overlooking the golf course of Penmaenmawr, just half a mile from Penmaenmawr town and 10 minutes’ walk from Capelulo village, in the lovely North Wales countryside. This cottage has been tastefully styled to offer welcoming and homely accommodation, accessed down external steps into a courtyard garden and on into the kitchen/diner. You will notice immediately the attention to detail the current owners have taken with their renovation, retaining charm and character where possible, all complemented by modern fixture and fittings. The sitting room is bright and airy, with superb views across the golf course and down to the coast and Irish Sea, whilst two flights of stairs lead up to the first and second floors. Here you will find three first floor bedrooms and a bathroom, and a further twin bedroom on the second floor. To the rear of this pretty cottage is a patio area providing a peaceful retreat to sit and relax whilst enjoying the beautiful views, perhaps planning an exciting adventure for the following day. There is much to do in the area, with nearby Capelulo waterfalls well worth a visit, where you may be able to see wild Welsh mountain ponies roaming, enjoy the delights of Conwy and its medieval castle and craft and souvenir shops, or visit the newly opened Surf Snowdonia just ten miles away. With pubs and restaurants scattered around the neighbouring hamlets you will have plenty of choice where to eat when you stay in this lovely cottage.

Nestled on the North Wales coast between Llanfairfechan and Conwy, Penmaenmawr is an old quarrying town now adapted into a delightful community stretching along this stunning coastline, yet retaining much of its Victorian architecture, with many local pubs, restaurants and shops, a superb golf course and golden, sandy beaches.

There is lots to see and do in the area from walking the hills to castle visiting. Seagrass cafe does an amazing (and huge!) breakfast in Llanfairfechan. We hope to return. Thank you.
