About this property

Boasting an elevated position at the north end of the majestic Conwy Valley, is the elegant farmhouse Hafodty. Approached via an endearing country road, taking you away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, is where you will find this beautifully renovated, stone-built property.

This heart-warming retreat has been designed to bring family and friends together, offering everything you could possibly need for a week-long break, as well as far-reaching views of the coast and countryside. Be welcomed into the farmhouse-style kitchen, which boasts a lovely blend of style and tradition, with contemporary units contrasting with the charming exposed beams. The designated chef of the group will be delighted to prepare home-cooked meals within this space, before hosting a sociable evening within the well-presented dining room.

Spend your wind down time within the sitting room, where you can select your favourite DVD to watch whilst the warmth of the woodburning stove fills the room. You will be spoilt for choice by the sleeping accommodation that awaits you, with five bedrooms situated across two floors to choose from. On the ground floor, you will find a double bedroom and following the staircase from the kitchen will bring you to a further double, complete with rural views and its own en-suite shower room. Up the second staircase, you will find a super king-size bedroom, a twin bedroom and a single bedroom, ensuring a flexible sleeping arrangement to suit the needs of your group.

If you don’t feel like cooking one evening, a short drive will bring you to the local pub and restaurant, offering a superb dining menu and welcoming atmosphere. Alternatively, venture into the centre of Conwy where you will find a selection of eateries as well as shops for picking up any essentials. Whilst in Conwy, find the remains of an ancient castle, the smallest house in Britain and the picturesque quay, which is the perfect place to rest and watch the world go by. Slightly further afield is the larger town of Llandudno, where you can soak up the sun at West Shore Beach or enjoy the views of the Great Orme and Little Orme from the North Shore Beach.

The private drive has glorious views over the Conwy Valley. The farmhouse was built around 1885 by the Penrhyn estate. Panoramic views of the valley ,out to sea as far as Morecambe Bay, Conwy castle and Bodnant Gardens can be seen .

The 200 acre hill sheep farm is ideal for walking. It borders on the Carneddau Mountains where you can walk to your hearts content and see the wild horses.The vantage point looks down on the Great Orme,Puffin Island and Anglesey and then you could walk down the fairy glen to the Fairy Glen Hotel where you could have a drink or Sunday lunch but don’t forget to keep some energy for the walk back home.To the far end of the property there is a 12th Century old church which is well worth a visit.There is also a standing stone called Maen Hir the long stone in Hafodty Fields which has been there since the Bronze Age and is protected as an ancient monument.

Conwy, a World Heritage Site, is known for its historical and architectural heritage with a thriving town centre. The town centre plays host to a number independent shops, cafés and pubs, alongside an array of historical attractions including Conwy Castle, the town walls and the smallest house in Great Britain. The town is sat on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park, where you will find miles of wonderful scenery on your doorstep.
