Guests say

Glan Y Ddol is a charming and cosy cottage in Trefriw, praised for its cleanliness, welcoming atmosphere, and excellent location for exploring Snowdonia. Guests appreciate the thoughtful welcome packs and find the outdoor space delightful. While the bathroom and kitchen are noted as small, the property's overall homeliness and comfort are highlighted positively.

The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with several reviews mentioning it being spotless and well-maintained. The bathroom, despite its size, is frequently described as the cleanest in the village with good quality fittings.

The location is highly regarded, with guests appreciating the proximity to local pubs, butchers, bakeries, and the ease of exploring Snowdonia. The peaceful village setting adds to the appeal, although limited off-season amenities are noted.

Comfort is well-received with mentions of a homely feel, comfortable beds, and a cosy log burner. However, some guests note the main bedroom window cannot open and the bathroom's size may affect comfort for taller individuals.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable outdoor furniture. However, the small size of the bathroom and kitchen, and the lack of a microwave, are drawbacks for some guests. The awkward bathroom setup and the position of the TV are also mentioned.

The hosts are commended for their thoughtfulness, with several mentions of welcome packs and treats, including for dogs. It should be noted that while these gestures are appreciated, such extras are subject to change and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Everything you need is provided . The bathroom is an engineering marvel on how you can fit it all in such a small space. The most amazing shop across the road with everything you could possibly need. Highly recommended.

Lovely lakes within walking distance makes it an ideal base if you don't want to go out in the car everyday. Everything in the cottage is well thought out and cosy and everything you need to make it a home from home holiday. Do not be put off by previous reviews of the bathroom as long as you don't have mobility problems it's absolutely fine.

The cottage is in a great location, really easy to get to. There’s 2 fantastic pubs within a few minutes walk and a butchers opposite selling a good selection of bits, including fresh cooked pies & pastries. The parking was great, just a bit tight getting in and out but lots of room on the gravel driveway. The outdoor spaces are great. Inside is welcoming, comfortable and clean. Small bathroom and kitchen, but that’s obvious from the pictures/description and wasn’t an issue. We really enjoyed our stay and have booked to come back in a few weeks time.
