Arfryn Cottage in Bangor is highly praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and welcoming atmosphere. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, the property's suitability for families, and its convenient location for exploring North Wales. The enclosed garden and thoughtful touches, such as welcome gifts, add to the charm of this holiday rental.
Guests consistently note the property's cleanliness, describing it as 'nice and clean', 'very clean', and 'exceptionally clean'. The high standard of cleanliness contributes significantly to the overall positive experience.
The cottage's location is frequently commended for being perfect for exploring Snowdonia, Anglesey, and other parts of North Wales. Its proximity to local shops and outdoor activities makes it an ideal base, despite some concerns about the steepness of the surrounding area.
Comfort is a highlight, with guests finding the cottage cosy and spacious. The presence of a log fire and the provision of comfortable furnishings ensure a relaxing stay. However, a few guests mentioned the softness of mattresses and thin pillows.
The cottage is well-equipped with modern appliances, including TVs with streaming services and a well-appointed kitchen. Some guests mentioned a lack of certain kitchen items and minor maintenance issues, but overall the facilities meet guests' needs.
The owner's thoughtfulness is evident through mentions of welcome packs with Welsh cakes, wine, and other treats. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it is important to note that such extras, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

However the property lacks attention to detail, is not of a clean standard. Crockery and oven need replacing as chipped and not functioning properly. There are no protectors on pillows or mattresses.
