Ty Hir is a cosy and well-maintained cottage in a beautiful, tranquil location with stunning mountain views. Guests appreciate the clean, comfortable accommodation and the friendly owners. The working farm setting adds charm, though the access road and proximity to farm activities are noted. The property's remoteness is ideal for a peaceful retreat.
The majority of guests found the cottage to be clean and comfortable, with fresh bedding and well-maintained rooms. However, one review mentioned cobwebs and dust, suggesting room for improvement in cleaning standards.
The location is praised for its stunning views and tranquillity, contributing to a restful holiday experience. However, the challenging access via a steep farm track and the proximity to farm activities slightly detract from the overall appeal.
Guests found the cottage cosy, particularly with the wood burner, and the beds comfortable. Some reviews suggested a need for more comfortable seating and outdoor chairs to enhance the comfort level.
Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and necessary amenities. However, issues with TV and broadband, limited crockery, and the need for better outdoor facilities have been noted.
While guests mention the provision of wood for the burner and the helpfulness of the owners, there are no specific references to gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

There were no firewood as we needed some warmth - the main bedroom radiator & underfloor heating was not working & the main bedroom mattress was not comfortable -

We loved it and wished we could stay longer.

There was cobwebs and dust everywhere on arrival and no hoover to clean up the rugs. The layout of the living space is odd and it would better to swap the dresser and table so that there was space to move the settee away from the cooker. We appreciate that it's on a working farm, but having sheepdogs kennelled outside the bedroom window that bark and howl from first light in the summer was disruptive. There needs to be more usable, newer crockery, glasses and cutlery, there was only one chopping board and baking tray! The mattresses were really comfortable but the bed frames need attention as parts are broken and they squeak. Outdoor seating would be a good addition. The owner dealt with the tv and broadband outage promptly.
