It’s fantastic for a solo or couples’ holiday and with wood-panelled walls throughout, creates a gorgeous setting to spend a tranquil holiday in the Welsh hills. While the location is gloriously rural, you’ll have a pub within 1.5 miles and the lovely market town of Dolgellau is only 3 miles away.

A charming and quaint interior awaits, featuring raw brickwork, rustic wall decorations and quality furniture made from leather and wood. In the welcoming lounge, sink into the sofa for a cosy Netflix session on the Smart TV. You can light up the wood burner to create much-needed warmth if it’s chilly. The sweet farmhouse-style kitchen is equipped with an apron sink and pale green units: it’s the perfect spot for cooking up yummy breakfasts to be enjoyed at the dining table, which is accompanied by a classy corner bench. In mild weather, you’ll love chilling out on the veranda, accessed via French doors from the lounge. Sip morning coffee with scenic mountain vistas as your backdrop, and come evening, indulge in some stargazing before bed.

You’ll have plenty of shops and restaurants in Dolgellau, where you can pop in somewhere for tea and Welsh cakes before embarking on a scenic walk along the River Wnion. The town is also the base for several popular walks taking in local peaks and lakes such as glacial lake at Llyn Cau (6.5 miles). Feeling the pull of the sea? The coastal delights of Fairbourne (13 miles) and Barmouth (12 miles) are both within easy reach, offering a delightful mix of local produce, shops, eateries and sandy beaches.
