Stiniog Lodge is a spacious property in North Wales, appreciated for its location and ample space for large groups. Guests have enjoyed the proximity to attractions and the scenic surroundings. The lodge is well-equipped for group gatherings, with a large kitchen and living areas. Some guests have noted the thoughtfulness of the owner, mentioning welcome gifts and good communication.
Most guests found the lodge clean and well-maintained, though a few mentioned issues with mould, dampness, and general upkeep. The presence of cobwebs and a smell in the games room were noted by some, suggesting room for improvement in cleanliness.
The lodge's location is highly praised for being close to tourist attractions and adventure activities like Zip World. Its setting in the beautiful landscape of North Wales is a highlight for many visitors.
Guests generally found the beds comfortable and the living spaces ample. However, some noted that additional seating in the living room and more comfortable beds would enhance the comfort level.
The lodge is well-equipped for large groups, with a well-stocked kitchen and spacious areas. However, guests frequently mentioned the need for additional bathrooms and cooking utensils, and some facilities like the games room and PlayStation were reported to be in need of maintenance.
While guests have mentioned welcome gifts and appreciated the owner's responsiveness and helpfulness, there are not enough consistent references to thoughtfulness in terms of gifts to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed.

Super comfy beds, which were much needed after a hike to Snowdon summit. Would recommend.

Downstairs is a shower room with toilet next to it in the utility room. The host is really lovely and very helpful. Plenty of room for a large party and a great base for zip world and beyond. Definitely recommend Stiniog lodge

The accommodation was adequate for 12, apart from only 2 showers and 2 toilets and one of the showers was through a bedroom so was a bit awkward! They were good toilets and great showers, just not really enough of them for 12! Beds were comfortable, but the beds above the twin beds in the family room was not suitable for adults and very awkward to crawl into especially if you were tall! One of the double bedrooms had no bedside lights and the plugs were on the wall at the foot of the bed and was awkward for charging phones, etc. This needs to be addressed, particularly the bed side lights as there was a bedside light on each bedside table in the twin room, and the other double and the family rooms! Kitchen large and well equipped, dishwasher very handy as was the washing machine! Saucepans could do with lids as they do tend to make a mess of the stove top. The lights above the cooker needed replacing as did not work! Apart from that great! The play station was not working so a bit of disappointment there! The games room was handy for rainy days, as were the board games provided! Overall a very comfortable cottage to stay with all you need for a good holiday! Portmeiron close by makes for a great day out, as do the caverns with zip wires, underground golf and deep mining experience! Snowdon easy to get to also, but a long steep walk to the top, good for hikers in particular! Some good restaurants not too far, one being the Grapes, and another close to that, both being excellent and do great food, proper food also, with potatoes and vegetables, gravy etc! A lovely change from peas and chips all the time, which were on a lot of the meals! Owner lovely, very helpful and basics provided, which was a welcome start pack! Would definitely recommend!
