With 2 staircases leading to separate bedroom areas and plenty of seating downstairs, there was plenty of space for us to spread out. The house was tidy, beds were comfortable and the kitchen was reasonably equipped. The heating worked well for us in September. As per photos and previous reviews, some of the house is a bit tired and it wasn't sparkly clean (skirting boards were grubby, some well-established cobwebs, kitchen fridge door a bit loose, few chipped mugs, etc). Sofas are very comfy, but required cushions to be pushed back on daily. Stairgates are provided, but the wider one that we used was only just wide enough to be used at the top of the chapel stairs - I wouldn't trust it to hold against our toddler unsupervised. In all, it fulfilled our needs for the week quite well and for the price we were fairly happy, but isn't a luxury property and a bit more throughout cleaning wouldn't go amiss.

BIG mistake: the cottage smells damp and has mould in many places, mice were present downstairs, there were cobwebs, broken widow latches, to name but a few issues we had. The kitchen is old and in need of an upgrade- no extractor fan light, only three out of four hob controls working. WIFI was down during our stay. Our issues were not resolved despite having contacted the owner, half of our party had to leave due to the lack of WiFi and being unable to work remotely during the weekdays, and this was not compensated by the owner who was aware of the WiFi issue and chose to dismiss our claim. The rest of us left a day early. Needless to say, we would not recommend.
