  The bed felt like a large single as opposed to a double.

  This lead to an uncomfortable nights sleep for two adults. For a self catering apartment it was disappointing that only one small oven tray was provided. Made it difficult for more than one thing to be cooked at a time etc. Also whilst the welcome pack did state to wash everything before use(due to Covid-19) it did not give a good impression to discover dirty cutlery in a cutlery tray that itself was not clean. We made good use of the SmartTv and the walking brochures were an additional bonus to help us plan our days out. Definitely recommend the local Chinese takeaway. Overall a reasonable apartment to stay in and we were grateful for the hand sanitiser and gloves provided.

  Considerate owners offer well located, comfortable and fairly priced upstairs rooms in the centre of a quaint, if a little dog-eared, market town with good facilities convenient for many local attractions.

  We experienced friendly bus drivers on the only remaining adequate route through attractive countryside to Shrewsbury on the day of the local festival rally through town. Rain prevented our enjoyment of the Open Garden day but it was well attended later in the sunny evening Several castles are close by but we were especially fortunate to visit Studley Court the set of the film Atonement - wonderful. We ate twice at the oldest brewery - good cooking but lacking charm and enjoyed good beer and banter in three other hostelries including the venue for a proficient rock band. Altogether thoroughly enjoyable week!

  Perfect location on the High St with all amenities close by.

  Only 5 minutes walk from the bus stop from/to Shrewsbury. All necessary equipment supplied. Easy access and arrival with key safe facility. Extra night at no extra cost was very handy. WiFi didn't work but in fairness I did not contact the owners who may have been able to rectify it. With the bedroom situated towards the back of the property it limited noise from the High St so surprisingly quiet given the position. Lovely view of the garden opposite from front window. Wonderful food and beer garden at The Castle and cheaper pub grub of very high quality at The Boars Head.

  Great base for a walking holiday .

  ..with walks from the door and close to Offa's Dyke, Shropshire Way, Stiperstones and Long Mynd. It had everything we needed, including plenty of storage space. The flat is above a shop in the High St so had all the advantages of a town centre spot within short walk of all Bishop Castle's pubs, cafes etc. The slight drawback (only because we were there in very hot weather and needed to keep the windows open) being that it was occasionally noisy and some of the locals seemed to specialise in driving cars with loud engines and/or that wouldn't meet ULEZ standards!

  The apartment provided an excellent base for walking and exploring Shropshire.

  It is on a shopping street so has lots of facilities close at hand: groceries, pubs, Take aways, Bookshop’s etc. We particularly enjoyed the Poetry Pharmacy, the garden of the Castle Hotel and being able to do circular walks from our doorstep. We had no problems parking even on the day of the music festival in the recreation grounds nearby. The kitchen was well equipped and there were helpful pamphlets about the local area. Quiet at night and helpful owners nearby.
