  Our 5th visit to the wonderful county of Northumberland, our 1st visit here at this lovely, spacious apartment “Wild Goose”. We have re-visited Berwick where we have fond memories having stayed there the 1st two times. We made our usual trip into Seahouses and also visited Craster for the 1st time with a lovely walk to Dunstanburgh. Bamburgh is as lovely as ever, we always enjoy our visit to The Copper Kettle, having stayed in the village once before. The highlight of the week though had to be sightings of dolphin packs passing along the beach, twice here in the evening towards Holy Island and once outside the harbour at Craster. Thanks, Jill, for a fantastic week and letting our daughter come along for a couple of nights for Father’s Day.

  Wild Goose apartment is perfectly located in Bamburgh village within easy reach either by foot or car of the incredible county of Northumberland and all its wonderful sights. A beautifully appointed, comfortable, spacious yet cosy apartment with a lovely open fire and incredible views of the Bamburgh coast and the spectacular castle. A perfect place to spend a relaxing New Year. The beach at Bamburgh is unrivalled and the castle takes your breath away with its splendour. Coquet Cotrages are a lovely family run company offering a very efficient five star customer service with attention to detail that is second to none. We’ve had such a fantastic time we have already booked to come back to Wild Goose.

  The view is exceptional - and oh, those sunsets!! Absolute gem of a property overlooking the estuary and within easy drive to Bamburgh, Lindisfarne, Seahouses, and other local attractions. Our host could not have been more welcoming, informative, or supportive. There is a walk on the other side of the estuary, which is only open for a couple of months of the year, but we saw numerous yellowhammers and hares. It was also full of bird life in the estuary, including Goosander and Curlew. This is situated in an absolutely beautiful part of the country and we hope to return at some point in the future.

  What a fabulous cottage! We have stayed in this area every Easter over the past 10 years, but this cottage is the most impressive. It was decorated so beautifully, so spacious, had everything to hand and all pristine clean. Kitchen equipped with the very best so it was lovely to cook and prepare food in. Fabulous welcome pack with an Easter theme and local products. We loved the books in every room and enjoyed some great DVDs beside the warm fire. If our children were smaller they would have loved finding all the toys and books. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  No. 5 The Maltings... You were just the escape we needed! Situated at the head of Budle Bay and sitting in one of the window seats you look down on the phenominal horizon of Budle Bay, Holy Island and Bamburgh Beaches. The view is a blank canvas that recreates itself as the tide comes and goes. Bird and Wildlife in abundance. Bring your binoculars! Bayview is modern, peaceful, immaculately clean, comfortably furnished and well equipped with everything you could need for a perfect break away. We have had such a special few days and will certainly be back.
