What our customers say about their holidays

We had a really nice stay at Bod Feurig.
It's a typical miners cottage as described; really quaint, warm, and very peacefully located. It was very clean and well presented though a little dated, especially in the kitchen, though we felt that added character. The bathroom was modern and again spotlessly clean. We did have trouble finding the washer dryer in the outhouse, but the key on the hook by the door gave us the clue. It rained most the week but hardly souls that we are, we hiked every day so the washing dryer was very welcome though the dryer wasn't particularly good and we ended up drying clothes on the airer. I'm not sure if this was user error but compared to mine at home, things came out damp even after 2 hours of drying. It was just me and my grown daughter visiting and for two it was perfectly spacious. We cooked most evenings and couldn't fault the kitchen contents (implements, pots and pans, dishes etc all well stocked) despite it's tiny size and dated surfaces/cupboards. The one concern we had was for the awkward step into the bathroom at night. The night light helped and we never had a problem but for small children this might be something for parents to be careful about. If we visit the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. It was cheap compared to others in the area so we felt it was good value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage and the area.

Had a lovely time in the cottage and surrounding areas.
Gareth the owner was extremely helpful and knowledgable about the area and places to go. Kids loved the games room. My kids are 11. Beautiful cottage, peaceful and quiet. We've only rated this cottage as 4 stars not 5, because the back garden could have been more useable for the family with better seating areas and safer ground. Wouldn't recommend for toddlers or small children as lots of slate and shards of porcelin on the ground. Could do with grass or astro turf maybe? Good for medium to large dogs though, as its enclosed. Also, the listing makes this cottage look detached, which it isn't. It has a 1 bed cottage attached. Which wasn't a problem for us. But if you are looking for fully detached, it isn't. The smaller cottage is beautiful inside aswell as Gareth kindly showed us around. I would recommend this cottage, I don't think anyone would be disappointed, the bedrooms lovely and beds comfortable aswell.

We absolutely loved the location, the area is beautiful.
We hired the property with the expectation of a washing machine as it was listed in the facilities so we were surprised and disappointed to discover that there wasn't one in the property but there was a shared one available in a nearby building. The mattress on the double bed was of extremely poor quality which meant that we couldn't sleep on it so slept in the 2 single beds instead. The shower cubicle had nowhere to put toiletries so we went out and purchased a shower caddy for less than £4 which made all the difference. The toilet seat did not fit the toilet. We didn't mention these problems as they were not things that could be quickly resolved but unfortunately, they made our stay quiet uncomfortable. For these reasons alone, I am.sorry to say that we wouldn't return to this particular property but would love to stay in the area again.

The location of our cottage was perfect, nestled in lovely, quiet country lanes, close to a beautiful stretch of coastline and on the cleanest farm imaginable.
With 2 nine year old boys in tow we werenât sure whether it wouldnât be too quiet for them, and that we might be too noisy for the setting, but Gareth, the totally lovely host and farmer, ensured it was just right for them. He showed them the animals and tractors, plus he had created a great âgames roomâ with pool table and table tennis, and lots of games to keep them entertained. The cottage was immaculate with a cosy, yet stylish, decor. A television in both bedrooms and the lounge was yet another clever idea. A welcome tray of goodies was a nice touch, especially the chocolate! We all, adults, kids and our sweet dog Winnie, had a great time and would not hesitate to return or to recommend to everyone.

This was just what we needed.
A small but big enough cottage right by the sea, within easy reach of all of Snowdonia and a lovely shop and cafe within easy reach. The living area was fabulous - we just opened up the door and lounged about with the sea air breezing round on our âlazy daysâ. The kitchen is a galley kitchen and itâs a little tight for two of you to work, but the induction hob was amazing. Never used one before. The landlord is a top bloke too. Cleanliness and quality are clearly important to him and we found the cottage to be very well done out, and lacking nothing really. We will certainly consider coming back for some proper R&R after the rigors of real life.
