What our customers say about their holidays

The chalet is sweet and could be made so much better.
The furniture is all odd and could be arranged better and may be decluttered. The kitchen is tidy and has been tidied up. I took my air fryer and used that 99% of the time apart from the kettle, toaster and microwave. Lots of mugs but you need to pick through as some donât look like they have been washed too well. The bathroom is great and the shower works perfectly. The main bedroom the bed is a small double and it is very soft and low. It has bedside cabinets which are add but does the job. There is a big built in wardrobe that has the Emerson tank and the main electric switch. Now, this is where I found a problem and also in the 2nd bedroom. There is no electrical sockets at all in the bedrooms. So no charging of phones or iwatches or even a bedside lamp. I like to read but the big ceiling light to read with isnât very cosy and relaxing. The second bedroom, no sockets and this was a pain with kids and their iPads in the evenings. Again, no where to plug in night lights. I really think money needs to be spent to get sockets put into these rooms. The cleaning does seem to be done. However, the mop that was left should we need to use it or at the end of the stay I like to clean, well the mop was disgusting and I wouldnât and didnât use it. I have taken a picture but not sure I can upload it. The chalet cost over £600 for a week and I do think some money should be spent on the property to bring it up to more modern times with the use of devices. Now, WIFI !!!! This is provided by the caravan park and not the owners of the chalets. It is Meant to be 5g WiFi. The signal is really poor. You have to keep putting in the code as it drops out so easily. It cost over £8 for 7 days and you can only use one code per device. So we had 4 iPhones. 2 iPads and this was a real pain. The kids will play games on the iPad in the evening but like to FaceTime their friends and play and talk about the game and help each other. We had some rain so in the evenings when cooking etc having showers etc it was good for the kids to have their devices but I got fed up of the moaning about wifi. The site facilities wasnât at all pleasing either. The restaurant/bar closed Sunday afternoon and didnât open until Thursday. There was a swimming pool, that was meant to heated but I am unsure how it is heated as on the really sunny day we did have I was told it was very cold to get in. There isnât a shop on site. So make sure if you are going in the evening like we did you take milk, bread etc. otherwise it is a drive to the nearest village to get to the co-op before it closed. We did have fun as we went out most days. But home from home it wasnât. It could be really cosy and an ideal base for exploring. It just needs some work and if allowed I would get my own wifi installed and maybe a smart tv etc.

We had a great time in Wales and all the extras in the cabin was great and very much appreciated (games, books, kitchen accessories etc) the owners have gone above and beyond with this but the cabin itself needs some diy.
The door handles were really loose and I feared they might come off and lock one of us in a room! The hot tub cover needs replacing as itâs become waterlogged and smells awful! This combined with no daily testing of the water left the tub unusable after a couple of days use despite us showering prior to use. We know the water quality is important being a hot tub owner ourselves but this was never checked and nothing left for us to check ourselves which was disappointing! The bed downstairs was really uncomfortable we could feel every spring and was very snug for 2 adults! The sofas in lounge could also do with being replaced - obviously these are pieces of furniture thatâs being used all the time so itâs understandable that they felt well used but it just gave the cabin a very tired feel and we didnât get a good nights sleep any night which was a shame. The kids had the upstairs rooms which seemed fine and the added little games room was a big hit but unfortunately the wifi is pretty much non existent, it connects to the cabin but not to the internet so anyone relying on this would have trouble. Fortunately we werenât worried about the wifi. Just basic tv aswell although itâs got sky we couldnât watch any movies or certain sky tv channels as needed a pin which wasnât given!

Entering the property upon arrival was easy using the key box.
Inside we found that tea, coffee, cooking oil, salt & pepper as well as washing up liquid/tabs were all provided in the well-equipped kitchen. This was a major plus point after arriving very early in the morning. The accommodation was generally very comfortable, with one major exception as reported by many previous guests, namely the double bed in the guest room with a deeply sagging mattress, unfortunately making it unusable by adults. It's a great shame this has not been addressed. The hot tub was clean and a big hit with our kids, the only negative being the cover, which has no grab handles and was thus difficult to move. The only other minor niggle was navigating the approach road and the division of the site into two halves with a fence inbetween (why?), which are not shown clearly on online maps. All in all we'd recommend Sun View Lodge as a very nice place to stay!

Cabin was lovely, very clean and had everything you would need.
Very well equipped kitchen, fabulous size so good for family of 5. Marked comfort down for following reasons - cabin was very cold on our arrival, we tried everything to get heaters working but only one in downstairs bedroom would turn on. We go no answer from any of the available phone numbers and no calls back for message left. We did, thankfully, fund small oil heater which worked. All beds had lovely duvets and pillows and really nice linnen. Unfortunately the master bedroom bed mattress needs replacing, exceptionally soft and very uncomfortable and frame very wobbly so made for uncomfortable sleep. Overall, lovely cabin, great amenities, beautiful location, great local things to do. Just needs some small attention to improve it to perfect!

We have just returned from the âlookoutâ and we absolutely loved it.
The lodge was spotless and Iâm fussy with cleanliness, it was comfy and cosy and there were nice touches such as blankets and cool bags for us to borrow. The beds were comfy. The view was unbelievable, I could sit and look for hours. Aberdyfi is a lovely town with a beach, crabbing area, little shops and yummy fish and chips. We drove to nearby Tywyn for the big shop which took 5 mins. I would recommend this property to anyone. Great for walks, water sports, beach days and waterfalls. Close to Snowdonia National Park but it took 2 hours to get to the Llanberis path of Snowdon. We did it but it was a very long day. I will definitely stay again. Thank you for having us.
