What our customers say about their holidays

Ocean View is beautifully situated overlooking the sea and promenade.
We enjoyed the view very much. The flat was nicely furnished and the beds were comfy, but there were a few issues that let it down and prevented me from giving it full marks. Despite being superficiality clean, a few items need urgent attention. As another visitor has previously reported, there is an unpleasant smell in the en suite bedroom, especially when the window is closed. We did wonder if the source is in the shower cubicle. The water is very slow to drain and the build up during showering is causing the formation of an unpleasant brown sludge around the edges of the cubicle, especially at the end where the drain is. I suspect bacteria is growing here and it made us feel uneasy about using the shower. The drain needs to be unblocked and the edges of the cubicle scrubbed with diluted bleach to clean them. The other main issue we found was that the oven is filthy. The first time I turned it on the flat was filled with the stench of rancid hot fat. I discovered that the grill pan was full of left over fat from a previous guest. And whilst I acknowledge that for a guest to leave it in that state is completely unacceptable, it should have been checked and the oven itself is in desperate need of a good clean. I know the weekly cleaner wonât have time to do this, but there are companies who will clean an oven to look almost like new in a couple of hours and there is time for this to be done on a change over day. On a less urgent note, the freezer compartment in the fridge needs defrosting. Having read previous comments about the flat being spotless and the ownersâ comments about their high standards, it was disappointing to find the flat was not as clean as we had expected. However, if I was reassured that the problems Iâve highlighted had been addressed and not simply denied, as seems to have happened in the past with the issue of the bad smell, then I would consider booking Ocean View again if only for the glorious view.

Thanks for letting us give feedback.
The apartment was cold it was August and still cold the wall heater in the lounge would work stuck on WiFi. The bed needs changing the matress is knackered caves in the middle both ended up with back ache and coming home a day early couldn't do another night in that bed. The apartment smells musty all through worst in the bathroom. The was dust on top of the head board thick layer too. Cobwebs everywhere we got the impression the owners don't live near by and the cleaner just doesn't do a good clean. Came to empty the bins and outside at the back all the bins were overflowing. We struggled to wash the pots due to lack of hot water very small boiler we had hot water the first night after that it was cold had to use the kettle for hot water. We had to buy our own sheets from Tesco on the first day due to the 100 percent polyester ones they had on the bed we never used them. When we changed the sheets they was a brown stain on the under sheet which my wife said we need to buy an under sheet so spent most of my first evening at tesco buying bedding. The first thing I would do here is chande the mattress on the bed. They supply cotton sheets or don't supply any and update the advert. Put a new boiler in if you expect peoe to wash up after themselves. You will save on electricity in the end. Have a word with your cleaners and get them to clean properly dust big cobweb on the main light in the bedroom head board and behind the bedside cabinets. I am aware there are air reshners around but now and again open all the windows and doors to let the fresh air in it will make a difference. Do something with the front of the property it looks the worst on the street barring the one opposite as they are rebuilding that. Sorry it was negative feedback but honest. That's why we cannot stay another night it was cold and musty the bed was dreadful so cut short our break by a day. Gareth and Tunde Vincent

The apartment was more spacious than we had expected and had pleasant and interesting views: the tram station up to the Great Orme from the front and across to the main bay at the back.
The overall immediate effects were of space, light (with the high ceiling and skylights), "welcome," fun (as there were some resources for children) and pleasing, tasteful colours - the living/dining area was very comfortable but also stylish. We found everything we needed (and more) in the kitchen. The information pack was comprehensive and we soon learned how to use the cooker - which was new to us. The main double bedroom was like another sitting room and gave us the opportunity to be in different rooms eg when one of us wanted to be quiet and the others watch TV. Two of us were in the children's room - but enjoyed sleeping in the bunk beds; it was like being in a den. There was also space on the landing for another "bed" if needed, though this was used a great storage area. The shower room was beautifully finished and the only "problem" there was that with two of us being just 5 ft, we couldn't really see in the mirror and had to lift it down. We both thought it would be good to have another full length mirror in one of the bedrooms or in the hallway. However, this didn't detract from our very relaxing stay. The location was ideal as we like both the main bay and the West beach and enjoyed the easy access to the Great Orme and Haulfre Gardens. We also had reassurance about our car being safe - having its own private space.

Very conveniently located to explore the area, Llandudno, Snowdonia , Cheshire oaks , Liverpool were all visited during our stay.
Lovely views along the promenade overlooking the sea, sit on the sofa in lounge or on the balcony . Washer dryer , Tumble dryer , small fridge with small ice box , fan oven with hob . Ensuite in main bedroom and a bathroom with a shower over in the hallway. Nice and cosy apartment and everything you need for a lovely stay, which was our 2nd . The apartment isn't advertised as a suitable place for people with disabilities but as our Daughter is paralysed left side it worked for us although I would state the beds are rather high and she found getting in a little bit of a challenge as she's limited in movement . Disabled space at rear of the building but it's never vacant so luckily the car space in the secure under ground car park was perfect as the lift is accessible to all floors. I will add the spaces are difficult to negotiate with a larger car due to limited turning space which I could see being a problem for a not so confident driver. As stated it's ideal for people with limited functions it would be nice and ideal if a shower chair could be stored in the apartment so people don't have to bring one along . Overall such a lovely place to stay , beautiful area, very clean and if you visit Llandudno I recommended eating at Harvey's American bar and grill .

The flat itself is lovely, well equipped, comfortable, spacious, in a really good location and the view of Lllandudno from the living room is great.
Maybe the TV aerial needs fixing because the freeview reception (on both TVs) was sometimes so bad the the picture broke up completely and was basically unwatchable. There were a lot of DVDs available to watch instead so not a big deal. Take this next bit with a pinch of salt, it's only a small thing and may not even occur for you but it really bugged us. Don't let this put you off the flat, it's more feedback for the owners than anything else. The cleaner turned up at 9am on our leaving day and asked us to be out of the flat as soon as possible so she could do a deep clean due to COVID-19. We explained the check out time was 10am, but we would be out as soon as we had finished packing everything. She said she needed as much time as she could to deep clean the flat, which is understandable, but if the check out time is 10am then no-one should be bothering guests before then. Check in time for the next guests isn't until 3pm so I don't think it's right to ask people to leave at 9am; 10am should allow enough time for a thorough clean, or employ more cleaning staff. We felt quite pressured by this lady's approach. If you want to vary the check out time then put that on the property details.
