  We found number 8 to be a perfect apartment for two and a dog. Everything in the apartment for a “romantic” get a way including the gift of bubbles and chocolates in the welcome pack along with the milk, coffee and teabags for that first brew on arrival…..Abbey says don’t forget to mention how she enjoyed the tasty dog treats too. We had some pouring rain, however whatever the weather, apartment 8 has such stunning sea views and is so comfy there is no need to venture out to feel you’ve had a break by the sea. We already have a sea view apartment At Hunters Quay, not only on our must return to list, but also as a definite winter break destination. Town and the supermarkets were walkable for us and with the beach only a hop skip and a jump away we were able to do plenty of short beach walking between showers and a longer one on a finer day. With the spa theatre in such close proximity, we will also keep an eye on events there, as apartment 8 will make a super theatre break destination. All in all we think George and his helpful team tick all boxes and provide a gem of a place to make happy memories by the sea without any need to worry about parking with the included parking permit. Added bonus as everything is so close no need to use the car. All in all this apartment is highly recommended by us

  We were disgusted to find a DIRTY USED FACEMASK on the kitchen floor when we arrived.

  There was also a STRONG BAD SMELL like sour milk in the kitchen, which lasted all week. I found a used elastoplast stuck to the twin bedroom wall. The property details say roadside parking, however on Monday to Saturday between 9am and 6pm this is only available for one hour, and we had great difficulty finding somewhere to park. The kitchen is described as modern, but the fridge is old and rocked when opened and closed. The hob was very worn, and there were no markings to tell you which knob controlled which plate, or which way to turn the knobs. There were no instruction booklets for appliances, especially the washing machine. The stairs into the property are very steep and would not suit elderly people or those with disabilities. This should be mentioned in the description.

  We had a lovely stay at Frankie’s 2.

  Sam, the caretaker was very helpful. We did have a problem getting the key pad to work, the first time we used it, causing quite a panic on my part but the rest of the time it was easy. Definitely need black out blinds in both bedrooms! 2 pillows or firmer pillows (for reading in bed). An instruction book giving general information ie how the TV works, heating etc. recommendations for eating out. How to turn the shower off and on. My niece drenched the bathroom trying to turn it off No mirrors in twin bed room. 3 in double!! The paintwork needs freshening up especially in the kitchen. None of the above stopped us having a relaxing stay and the flat couldn’t be more convenient for everything in Bridlington. Perfect.

  At first sight, the apartment looked very clean and inviting.

  However, take a closer look like under the beds and you will find that not to be the case, remove the cushions from the settee to find crumbs and debris. All the pan lids were missing, no potato peeler, and a shortage of teaspoons. There were no cleaning facilities, not even a pan and brush. I would expect it reasonable that the owner would supply a couple of bin liners but no so. Finally, there were soap dispensers in the toilet and bathroom which were empty. I did not expect that I would need to purchase essentials on arrival at the property. I understand that due to Covid and the high demand for holiday rentals owners see it as an opportunity to increase their prices but I do expect by doing the same they need to be on the ball.

  Spent a weekend in Frankie’s 2 The flat/apartment was on the ground floor.

  Easy access from the front garden. A little confused with key locks. Should have realised that ours was numbered 2 because we were in Frankie’s 2. Place was immaculate inside. Outdoor space at the back a little tired. Could have done with a good sweep. We would have happily swept if had found a broom. The dogs absolutely loved it. Plenty of space and a good size, secure outdoors space to let them out. The facilities were excellent. Location couldn’t have been better. Directly opposite the promenade and next to the Bridlington Spa. The beach was amazing. Restrictions for dogs, but there’s a beach area past the cafes and beach huts, that they could us. Thank you. Will definitely be back and will recommend to friends
