  We loved this place! The owner was very friendly and welcoming. Fresh milk, wine and homemade buns were waiting for us which was very much appreciated after our long journey. This place had everything we needed along with a little basket of dog items (bowl, blanket, poo bags, towels and treats) - another thoughtful gesture. The accommodation was not only clean and comfortable but had an air of luxury about it with a spacious bathroom containing a large walk-in shower and a jacuzzi bath. The bedroom, also very spacious has a comfortable bed with little lights all around it. It felt quite romantic and looked so pretty. The little lights were also in the living area and the “safe” candles were a lovely touch. The kitchen area seems in two parts but don’t worry, you quickly get used to it and it has everything you need. Whilst you have to go down steps to the garden area, it is so worth it! It is an enclosed and private garden, this was important for us as we took our old dog with us and we knew he was safe. We very much enjoyed the hot tub and a real stroke of genius having the shepherds hut to change in, use the loo, store items etc. The artificial grass was a bonus too. So much nicer underfoot than shingle which we’ve previously had in holiday cottages. The location is beautiful and a good base for exploring Cornwall. Definitely recommend.   Myself, husband and dog had a such a great week at Fistral Drift.

  Loved the communication from Jane & Michelle via email & what's app with all the info we needed to access the property and about the surrounding area etc. We parked in the Council car park 5 minutes walk from the property and Jane paid for our weekly Rover permit which was fantastic, permit can be used across other certain car parks but we didn't use our car the whole stay. Garden was lovely, our dog spent most of his time lazing out there & we enjoyed the views across to Fistral Beach from the bench seat! Location was great for us, 10 minute walk to Fistral Beach & coastal path or 10 minutes in the other direction to shops, pubs etc. They have thought of everything in the property, firstly a fabulous welcome pack on arrival which included tea bags, coffee pods, cider, biscuits, chocolate & even dog treats! Also milk in the fridge for us, hand washes, kitchen really well equipped (stayed in many properties where its pretty basic) and the bathroom is lovely with an amazing shower! Honestly they have literally thought of everything at Fistral Drift & I could go on & on so finally will just say I would recommend it to anyone.

  A gem of a find, the stairs were more than I thought, but was worth lugging the cases down to the most amazing view. The cottage was spotlessly clean and was just the most perfect location, 5 minute walk to the shops and restaurants. We used the car park suggested with the permit, and didn’t have a problem parking and getting a space, might be an issue in the school holidays. But all in all we had the most wonderful time, would definitely recommend this place to stay unless you had mobility issues, certainly helps to work off all those crab sandwiches, and Devon cream teas going up and down the steps. And I highly recommend the castle hotel pub for food, it was a real surprise how nice their food was in there, we went 3 times it was that good. Another little tip is to get the little boat to the castle, £3 per person each way, and spot the mermaid on the way. Thank you for a perfect staycation, we are already wishing we was back there.

  Wow - what an amazing apartment!

  Really well equipped with lots of thoughtful touches, such as a welcome hamper, plenty of hangers and crockery/cutlery. My particular favourite was the light-up make-up mirror. Apartment was a good size, with a super king bed and dual headed shower. Outside space was excellent with outdoor seating, barbeque and a shed with deck chairs. Location good - 5 min walk to Fistral beach and 10 - 15 mins to town centre where there are lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. Communication with Jane, the owner, was faultless with clear instructions on parking and key collection and contact numbers. Also lots of information about the apartment and surrounding area. Would love to stay here again.

  A huge thank you to Amanda and David, we loved staying at Spires.

  It is such a beautiful property and we enjoyed every moment. We particularly enjoyed each evening looking at the view and watching the sky darken and the stars appear. It's the most relaxed we've been in months. The sparkly shower room is a delight and the kitchen facilities are great. The bed is so comfortable. Luckily I had taken clothes hangers with us as there is no wardrobe. The chest of drawers were fine and there were hooks to hang clothes on. The location is great with vistas overlooking fabulous Cornish countryside. With Truro just up the road and the north and south coats just a short drive away. Amanda made us feel very welcome and we feel sure to return again sometime.
