  We booked both barns for a family get together, and the arrangement worked very well. It was useful having several bathrooms and two kitchens and fridges with such a large party. The secure rear patios provided suitable safe space for the young children, and the extensive grounds were perfect for multi age-group water fights, football and frisbee. We also enjoyed using the tennis court. We weren't rowdy but it was good to have such extensive private space to enjoy each others company. There were good dog walks directly from the barns, and easy access to Aldeburgh, Walberswick, Minsmere and Snape. The owners were helpful when needed but not at all intrusive. A great venue for our large family gathering!

  The Courthouse has a lovely, spacious living / dining area which is perfect for an extended family gathering following a day on the beach or out walking, with a large dining table, separate breakfast bar, not to mention a hideaway mezzanine level perfect for children. As well as this, the house is perfectly positioned in Thorpeness, over the road from the lovely Dolphin pub and only a quick stroll from the golf club. Would definitely recommend this for larger groups, but also, as it has been for us, an opportunity for a small party to enjoy a lot of space, I'd challenge anyone to find a property with more available in Aldeburgh or Thorpeness!

  Wonderful stay! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic cottages, great amenities and some very special touches, such as the little basket of goodies left for us. Lovely views and great location, just a short drive to Aldburgh and Thorpeness. I would say that a car is essential if you want to make the most of your stay. It was lovely to have use of the tennis court. The owners are located at the main house (bed & breakfast), I met them one day on a walk around the property, they were very friendly. Can’t recommend this accommodation enough, book it, you won’t regret it!

  This is the most gorgeous little cottage in the middle of nowhere but actually quite close to the Suffolk Coast and Snape. It looks as though it had recently been refurbished and is very well appointed in the kitchen. We loved our stay here and enjoyed the area so much. It’s one of the best small holiday cottages we have stayed in for a long time. Very restful and super cute. The bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely and the whole place had a lovely feel about it. We will certainly be going here again.

  Location is ideal. The proximity to beach, pub, cafe, mere and all the facilities is faultless. Just a short journey to the excellent Co-op in Leiston makes up for the lack of a grocery shop. Aldeborough has a wonderful high street with restaurants and other high class outlets. The area has many attractions which are not commercialised and the scenery is stunning. The house is spacious and comfortable and the upside down layout really works for a large family gathering.
