  The cottage was excellent as a base for visiting the coastal towns and villages, as well as a lovely place to come to at the end of the day.

  The living room felt spacious and if there is a cold evening we’d recommend the wood burner for extra coziness, though the electric heating is very efficient. We like cooking and the cottage had one of the most well-equipped kitchens I have ever seen - we didn’t have to use any of the utensils we brought with us. We cooked every night so it was great to have the dishwasher. The decor was modern but comfortable with interesting antique and vintage pieces. I’d imagine the cottage would also be perfect for a family as the kids can be in their room at one end of the living room, giving the adults a bit of space at the other end. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches such as the local milk, eggs, bread and butter provided. We met Glenys briefly who was friendly and welcoming. We would happily stay here again if we had another holiday in the area.

  This cottage is a superb little private gem!

  Good location to visit what Suffolk has to offer, perfect hosts who care for their guests. Peace and quiet for a relaxing stay. Kitchen has everything you need for a self catering break away, the level of kitchen equipment is over and beyond luxury - the batchroom is superb, walk in shower and all catered for - again over and beyond usual self catering breaks, The bedroom has everything required with good quality feather and down pillows and duvet. Living room/dining room has excellent comfortable facilities. We have never stayed anywhere in many years of self catering that the hosts have not thought of - even down to bread, butter, eggs and milk left for guests. The courtyard is completely private to use - cannot praise this excellent cottage enough. We shall definately be returning.

  Apple Tree cottage is set right in the heart of Westleton. 200 yard walk across the green to the White Horse. Great food and a proper local. About the same distance to the Westleton Crown..very good Sunday lunch. The cottage is a 5 minute drive to Dunwhich Beach…there is a bridal path across Westleton Heath but some of the walk is on the road (not too busy but quite narrow). The cottage is small but very comfortable and well equipped. It has a beautiful secure rear garden and was a great base to visit Sutton Hoo, Framlingham and Southwold. Lovely village lovely cottage great location.

  Fantastic location, great secure garden, lounge and bedrooms very comfortable. Our main issue was the general dustiness of the property (TV cabinet and DVD player covered in thick layer of dust), dust and fluff around the floor spaces, and kitchen utensils and cups requiring a good wash before use. The cooking equipment was very dated, especially the frying pans which made cooking a little more challenging than it should be. Not ideal but the location of the property ensured we had a good holiday.

  The Tack Room provided us with warm, comfortable and very clean accommodation in an excellent peaceful rural location, while being only a 10 minute or so drive from Southwold. The adjoining farm shop was very useful for fresh produce and last minute supplies and the owner and all the staff we met there were very friendly and helpful. It was our first visit to Suffolk and we had a wonderful week exploring the coastline and interesting little towns and villages nearby.
