What our customers say about their holidays

Rather concerned to say the least for such a new property that the toilet in the master bedroom dumped the contents of the sewer pipe over the floor on first flush. (due to bodged installation) As the liquid ran into a crack in the wall at floor level between en-suite and kitchen area and disappeared before I could clean it up I was very concerned as to where the contents of the toilet from previous uses was laying in/under the house. As it was clear the fault was made when the property was built there must be an accumulation of at least liquid waste somewhere. That said the housekeeper did attend very promptly and the sewer pipe replaced by a plumber the next day so top marks for service. Another problem was the complicated eco heating control system. Although instructions were provided for it, on multiple sheets of A4, I could not get it to reduce the heat level in one end of the building I do regard myself as tech savvy, build my own computers etc but this one really got me. We could open the windows during the day but you don't like to have a large open window during the night. As a result my daughters sleep was ruined. I did report to the house keeper and he is aware. Apart from the above and no internet for awhile (we were informed prior) we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property which is in a beautiful location. Ps. There is also a mad Pheasant who liked to give us an early morning alarm call at 03.30 ish every morning by hammering on the glass door! (quite alarming till we found out what the loud noise was then it was fun)

The site managers were lovely especially the male, both were approachable and friendly.

The accommodation was warm and comfortable. There were no accessible hoover, brush or mop to be able to clean. We took our dog and it would have been nice to have been able to clean the floor after our walks. The Hot tub smelled very strong of cloreen that it stung our eyes, we even told them not to attend to it for the last 2 days. During our week stay we only used the Hot tub 3 times which was part of the reason for booking that location. When the jets were on in the Hot tub black bits came out and were floating about, we even had to buy a net to try to clean the black bits out. When we arrived we were informed that the games room and bar area was closed. This was disappointing as we had two 12 year olds with us who was looking forward to the games room. We were left a folder with how to work things in the accommodation, however the Wifi code never worked to either of the log ins given resulting in two very board children. The Sky TV was our saving although this was still limited. The log fire was lovely but again there were nothing to light it with and we had to go a purchase a lighter to light it.

We had a really lovely experiences at Toot View, The views, property, and property location are exceptional.

Our stay was a literal balm to the soul... and the owners very kindly assisted us. Having mobility issues my wife did find the access to Toot View challenging, but do-able with help from me, the ramp was steep for her, as were the access steps to the property. The main bedroom bed had a foam mattress which did not provide sufficient comfort/rest for my wife, which was a shame, she slept on the sofa in the lounge during our stay (which proved to be far more comfortable). (My wife has issues with her spine) The lounge, Sofa, Armchairs, Dining, Patio Furniture are all excellent. the furniture all in very good condition and of good quality... The bathroom is large, with lots of good quality fluffy soft towels, the shower is an excellent size. The kitchen too is well equipped and well provisioned. We would definitely visit Toot View again, (bringing a portable mattress topper for my wife), this would not put us off, we have only mentioned the issues my wife had in-case any future visiting party has members with Mobility/Spine Issues, so that they can litigate for these.
