We had the most amazing stay at Revilo Lookout 24-26 Jan to celebrate our friend’s 50th birthday. We traveled during storm Eowyn which was gale for winds but it didn’t spoil our trip. On arrival everything outside was secured which I was pleased about. We were welcomed with a hamper which was packed full of treats for our stay and a lovely bottle of red wine and Prosecco. The fridge had milk, butter, cheese and fresh orange juice in which was such a lovely touch which makes all the difference. The accommodation was beautiful, very well kept and immaculately clean. We made use of the hot tub on the Saturday once the storm had passed and the binoculars and telescope came in handy for stargazing at night with a clear sky. We had a wonderful weekend just laughing and catching up, we thoroughly enjoyed it.

The minute we walked in the door we felt at home as we could easily imagine (dream ) of having a place as gorgeous as The Penthouse. It is immaculate, the love the hosts have for the place is evident in every aspect from the great décor, down to the huge selection of plates cooking utensils and glasses that provide the perfect backdrop for whatever is being served or sipped at the dining table or on the balcony overlooking stunning views of the Marina, River Coquet, or the sea. Amble offers wonderful places from fine dining, café bars, real ale to Italian ice cream parlours, all on the doorstep literally. Walks from the door you never need to get in your car. We have already booked 2 weeks in 2020.

The Penthouse is absolutely gorgeous with an additional welcome basket by the owner. Both the owner and the parent company took COVID-19 seriously and we felt very safe with our twins! Best rental company and best place we have stayed yet. Highly recommend to anyone who just wants to pamper themselves with both luxuries and location.” All homes on the Coquet Cottages website are extremely nice, with the Penthouse being near or at the top for expense. Fabulous modern apartment overlooking the harbour! The Penthouse was decorated to a high standard, was very clean and all bedrooms were well laid out with all en-suites, which we were looking for. It was well equipped with everything you would need. The welcome basket was a lovely gesture and was a nice surprise for the other guests. It also let you enjoy some items not normally bought including local produce. The booking of the stay, communication, etc was all perfect. The large rooms and comfortable beds made it feel like a home away from home. The surroundings were beautiful, and we especially enjoyed the cozy log burners, which added to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The secure garden was perfect for our dog, giving us peace of mind as he explored safely. It was also a delight to have a wee cat visitor stop byâit kept Ollie amused The location was ideal for visiting nearby attractions and exploring the surrounding areas. Unfortunately, we had to leave earlier than planned due to bad weather, but we thoroughly enjoyed our time and would love to return.
