  Just returned from a lovely week spent at 1 Smiths Wind. Perfect home in an ideal location in the middle of Jedburgh, right off the main street but quiet. So many areas to visit in the local and surrounding areas. We took our 8 month old puppy on his first holiday and he was in his element in the house, not to mention a couple of the local pubs! Everything you could ask for on your doorstep, with handy private parking space just round the corner. Mary Queen of Scots house just a few steps away. The house itself had everything we needed (and more) and was well equipped to a high standard, just like being at home. Friendly neighbours and lovely owner who was very helpful and easy to communicate with. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay here and will definitely return.

  Deceptively spacious town house, beautifully decorated and maintained to a high standard. Perfect spot for touring the Scottish Borders and beyond. River walks in the local area, Dryburgh and walking up to Waterloo Monument. The Caddy Mann - Mouthooly Jedburgh - lovely food and friendly staff. About a 5 minute drive. Bella Sicily Cannongate Jedburgh - amazing Italian food, and the owners couldn't do enough to make your visit special. Just around the corner, both are dog friendly!

  Had a very comfortable stay at 85C Bongate.

  The listing was accurate and very easy to deal both with Sykes Cottages and the property owner. The house is very comfortable and decorated to a high standard, good kitchen, huge tv, very comfortable beds and good showers. Although no parking is available at the property there is ample on street parking within 5 minutes. Only 5 minutes walk from local shop, pubs, take away etc. Couldn’t fault the place and happily book to stay again (which we already have).

  This is a lovely comfortable apartment, well maintained and very clean.

  We really enjoyed our stay over Christmas and appreciated the extra festive touches. The kitchen is well equipped, with everything you need, we even managed a full Christmas dinner! I'm only dropping a star because the TV was quite glitchy & kept disconnecting from the internet which is tricky as you can only stream & not watch normal television, also the traffic noise is quite substantial if you're a light sleeper.

  Lovely, tastefully decorated, you thought of everything. Our favourite memory is the beaches at Berwick upon Tweed, peaceful, fills you with peace. We recommend Melrose, many walks down by the river, up to William Wallace Monument and the Bandstand of the four ladies in steel. The Abbey at Jedburgh, walks around Jedburgh, Kelso market on Saturdays, nice shops and cafes there too. Stunning scenery everywhere.
