  On arrival I would suggest a map of the site be available at reception as it took a while finding the Lodge.

  Also, having to walk to the lodge to pick up the key and the fob needed to gain access with car was a pain. The lodge was clean and the welcoming basket was a nice touch. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable however, the 2nd bedroom had a matress which was smaller than the base and not to comfortable. The recliner couch looked good on photo's (home from home), but wasn't comfy at all. The back was loose and to far back when upright. I felt like turning it up end to tighten any loose bolt's as I have done with my own. There was an upright vacumm which was empty on first sight but wasn't picking up. I took a closer look and found the pipe and filters totally blocked. I cleared it and washed the filters, although not the best it did pick up. Our stay was relaxing and the weather was good and hot which meant the balcony was very well used and enjoyed. The view of the lake was very nice. It would have been good to have the use of a cantilver umbrella as the deck was in full sun from midday until sunset, also a couple of fans would have given some relief from the heat indoors.These additions would have made are stay perfect. All in all we had a good stay, liked the site with all amenities close by. We would recommend this lodge.

  Wow what a fabulous weekend we have just had here at Beach View, we really did not want to come home.

  The whole experience from start to finish was fantastic, easy and very enjoyable. From booking with Sykes' to having the personal contact from the owners it was a seamless procedure. Many, Many Thanks to Gill our host. All was beautiful in the house and spotlessly clean and nothing was too much trouble, even allowing us to come out a little later than normal so we got a little extra time in this lovely house. Location was great and the views are superb, the pictures don't do the property any justice, it is much nicer in the flesh. We booked this as a base for an event we were attending locally and preferred it to the caravan option, it was one of the best decisions we have made in a while, and the price was cheaper too!!! The only down side for us, if there was one, is that we normally take our dogs away with us and they would have loved it here but it is not dog friendly. An amazing break in an excellent home from home. We would definitely recommend it, 5* Thank you soooooo much.

  Myrtle Cottage is nicely placed just outside of the town centre, but with easy access on foot to all of the facilities.

  Arguably the best pub in the Town in less than a minute’s walk away and there are (if I recall correctly) six others to choose from. For those who like their food, there are two butcher’s shops, a cheesemonger and two supermarkets within a five-minute walk as well a selection eating-out opportunities. There is easy access to the M6 making the Cottage convenient for lots of places to visit. The Cottage itself is not enormous, but certainly not pokey either. The finish is to a high standard, the kitchen is well stocked with utensils and the courtyard garden is a lovely, useable outdoor space. The listing states three guests and two double bedrooms, which is a little confused. The Cottage would definitely sleep two couples, though visitors should ensure that they’re happy with the eating arrangements, which are clearly shown on the photographs. This property suited me perfectly and I’ll definitely be looking to book again soon.

  What a fantastic choice we made !

  This property was just perfect for us visiting relatives in the area .Arrrived 18th October and we had the best weeks weather of the month . We received the most generous welcome pack we have ever had! The house was really clean and had a lovely fresh smell,the beds were really comfy with quality linen.Lovely and warm with plenty of hot water when needed.We always bring our own supplies but there were plenty of towels, toilet rolls and tea,coffee and sugar etc if we needed them .The walk into Lytham was 5 minutes and there were lots of eateries to keep us happy all week including the poshest Wetherspoons we have ever had a drink in ! The communication from the owner was excellent and we look forward to another visit..Thank-you
