What our customers say about their holidays

We've just returned from a lovely week in this accommodation.
The instructions on how to find the parking etc where spot on, I was a little apprehensive when I saw the tight entrance mentioned but a quick look on Google maps alleviated that and we managed fine on each time parking. If anyone does struggle the station is a short walk away and I would say it was only the Saturday that it seemed full. Accommodation is lovely, bed very comfy as is the sofa and the kitchen is well equipped. My only small gripe is there is no empty cupboard space for storing food and we stored what we had on the worktop which wasn't a lot so wasn't a huge issue but I think space could be made for this by moving the tupperware. We had to contact the owners due to an issue with the bathroom light but all was sorted. The neighbours in the flat downstairs are lovely and friendly and we had the odd chat with them. The view from the flat is great and I will miss seeing the lights of Edinburgh twinkling away at night. Highly recommend the walk from Aberdour to Burntisland and the station means its very handy to get about without relying on a car. We would definitely like to return in the future.

PERFECT I have just returned from a fortnight at Shore View (although I had booked the property for a fortnight to get some work done I intend to return at some point this year for a holiday).
The cottage was modern, warm, clean and very comfortable. The wi-fi connection was solid (I worked from here, including zoom meetings, all with no problems). What is brilliant about the cottage (apart from the obvious sea views) is how near EVERYTHING is, my car was hardly used the two weeks I was there. The beach is a short stroll down the street, the train station is across the road (45 minute direct train into centre of Edinburgh if you want to throw in a city break to your beach holiday) there is a restaurant and a pub (with outdoor seating area looking out to the sea) right next door (so no worrying who can't drink and has to do the driving) â have a meal, a drink watch the footie then just cross the path and your home. There is a corner shop at the other side of the cottages and a few yards further down the street a well stocked co-op shop. The cottage sits just behind the Fife Coastal Path, which is a well marked and busy path, that goes for miles along the coast. It really is a perfect little holiday spot!

This is a high quality property in a great little village with lovely beaches and a real sense of community.
The property is tastefully furnished with two large bedrooms - the beds are very comfortable - a well equipped kitchen and living room and a modern bathroom. It is very clean with thoughtful essential supplies and good quality towels. It is a short walk from Aberdour station and the purple shop just up the road has a good supply of groceries. Easy access to Edinburgh and St Andrewâs. Aberdour is a little gem and the people couldnât be friendlier or more helpful. On the Fife coastal path so plenty of walks. Recommend visit to ancient church around the corner from the property. Beaches are perfect for families. Everyone in our group of four would highly recommend this particular property and location.

I am happy to get such an accommodation as all other hotels in Edinburgh were either occupied or fit my budget.
The facilities in 40 Main Street has been exceptional and felt as though I was in a suite. All the utensils and interior were amazing. I had a pleasant and wonderful stay and experience top notch facilities. Since I am new to the United Kingdom, I have felt the need for a CAR to drive. Since it's a village, we will find TESCO or ASDA miles away from the location. if you haven't got some vegetables and wheat flour for cooking, then you might experience some difficulties in search of a grocery shop. I will give them 9.5 of 10 for service, hospitality, facilities and location.

The flat was very comfortable and catered for all our needs.
The main drawback was that it was on a busy road and we were aware of the traffic from 5 30 in the morning. It's unfortunate that there is a humped pedestrian crossing outside the property, as heavy vehicles reverberated and shook the property. Also, we did not find out that the garden was out of bounds until after we had booked the accommodation. Reading visitor reviews, it seems this has been the case for twelve months or so! Lastly, there were no spare light bulbs in the flat and so when the living room light went, we had to take a bulb out of the twin bedroom ceiling light.
