  Absolutely stunning,first time visiting lismore and tirlaggan house put the cherry on top.

  If your looking for pease and quiet, stunning views and walks, plus plenty of history about this is the place for you. One shop in the heart of the island was well stocked. Ten minute passenger ferry to port appin,which you don't have to book or the 1hr car ferry to Oban, remember to book your ferry for Oban as it only has a limited number of car spaces. Tirlaggan house is a modern ground floor property with a really big garden and off road parking. There are two other properties adjacent to each other with their own gardens. We took our dog with us, this is a working farming island so your dog has to be on the leash as there are sheep and other livestock everywhere on the island. We did find a secure field which we could let our dog off his leash for his runabouts, which he loved. Just ask the farmers when they pass by if there are any secure fields available, everyone is friendly and accommodating and will help you whenever they can.   We had a wonderful time at Woodland Villa.

  There is literally everything you could possibly need here, and it's so nice to come somewhere where they've provided hand soap, and some oil, kitchen roll etc. The front room was our favourite part of the house with the fire on at night and plenty of space for everyone. It's a really spacious property with lovely big windows, cosy lighting and a feeling of being in the middle of nowhere. Can also attest to hide and seek being great fun here! If you're unsure whether to book, definitely do! Oban is a fab place with so much just down the road, and the ferries are close for visiting any Islands. We've had an absolute whale of a time and we'd not hesitate to book again. Thank you so much for a great holiday

  Seating requiring some updating.

  The house perfect for a couple. Concerns about proximity to the Studio unless with other members of family. Water temperature a problem when we visited required to use the boost facility. Felt we should have been informed regarding work going on in the Studio as the main bedroom very visible. It did not detract from our enjoyment of our time on this delightful friendly island with great history and walks. A heads up would have been a polite gesture to us about the work in progress. Maybe an email from Sykes or possibly to be told by the group of people who arrived one evening to view the studio when we were sitting out on the patio enjoying the peace and stillness of this getaway from it all place.

  Found it very very hard to find. Pitch black very bad sign posting infact non existing. The barn pub was lovely as well as the staff.but no lights so not great walk to and from lodge.tge lodge pictures were not as it was.there was no views and took a £20 waver incase of damge.we had to keep milk outside as fridge was broken trays and glued the remaining shelves which didnt work.the cooker hood lights were hanging out and didnt work the shower worked too hot then freezing cold. The lodge itself was tidy. But wont be back ever again. Not worth the price paid.and owners were not interested when we reported the items being glued she said that was her husband that glues everything. Never again. Sorry

  We didn't use every room as just two of us!

  Generally speaking, no real issues (clean bedding, cutlery, towels, etc), but being picky, the kitchen paintwork around the cooker and sink needs attention and there is general decor wear and tear in the hall/stairs. The ensuite shower needs re-sealing as is now discoloured. The kitchen table is badly marked and the chairs are faded. Appreciate not all guests look after a holiday let as they should, so it's difficult to keep on top of jobs! Still a good place to stay and the kitchen and lounge were pleasantly light and bright. We saw red squirrels in the garden and deer up the road; Oban was a lovely break; the scenery is spectacular, there is everything you need in town and the weather was kind.
